PHL-YVR new route this summer!
I was close to posting that. But stopped since I looked in the schedule through the summer. Saw nothing from May up to September. Either it's just a rumor or it's just not loaded yet.

Not sure of the start date but here is the schedule:Yea!![]()
I am a west YVR commuter (PHX ) and that route would make it much easier to get to PHL to non-rev to Europe rather than going thru PHX or LAS.
Hope the info is right.
Thanks.
It beats the PHX connection, although the border crossings are a pain unless you have Nexus.
I hope that's not just a rumor, as well! I had to be in YVR twice this past year and flying US from the East was horrific. (Think double connections in PHL and PHX.) Non-stop YVR service from PHL will be a strong route.
"Be nice if it wasn't a red-eye on the way back".PHL-YVR....interesting....
Be nice if it wasn't a red-eye on the way back.
TOTALLY agree with that....I'm in the wine biz....I'm batting a lowly .333 getting through without being detained and "gone through." You'd think I was smuggling narcotics from the way they treat you and talk to you.
This doesn't help the US employees...but the best way to get to YVR from the east coast is UA....they have 3 flights from ORD (or at leas they've had in the past) and they connect up nicely with all points east and southeast. Plus there's "Economy Plus" if you don't want to pay for F or don't have upgrades.
If you live in New England, there is AS service from Boston...and this is actually what I've done the last few times as I can get F Class for around $850 each way.
I agree though....it makes PERFECT sense to connect, what I consider, one of (if not "THE") most beautiful cities on west coast with the primary hub on the east coast, PHL.
Good going US....would be nice to see more frequencies...I only do red-eyes when there is just no other way.
This is poor planning. If they had a flight leave PHL in the morning arriving in YVR around noon, with a return around 1pm, they could appease a lot more cruise passengers.
With the current schedule, pax now have to leave a day early and pay for a night's lodging before embarking in YVR. They also have to fill an entire day in YVR on the way back waiting for the red-eye.
