What's wrong with you guys???

Why do you keep trying to dream up a BS merger with someone???

Why don't you put your nose to the grind and make this airline work without the influence of an another airline? Don't you think we should merge our airlines before we even consider merging with someone else??

This duel airline needs to stop and it needs to stop now. We have had new payroll numbers since....hell...I can't remember when....yet we don't use them....WHY!!!?????

We have had merged policy & procedures for years yet PHX base has failed to follow through and we as f/a's have to go through hell and high water to get them to do the most basic things. UM policy & procedure comes to mind.........

I don't know if it's because it's the East coming in to the PHX base or what..........but we don't get treated like family. I 've been treated mostly like the red-headed step child. Now I'm not saying everyone is like that...I'm not. But I'll be honest. I've become very leery of the GA's in PHX. Terrible attitude and nasty right off the bat. PHL Ga's are sweet by comparison.

But the fact remains, we are still two airlines that haven't merged and the ones in control haven't done their job.

As I was saying...we have "new payroll" numbers yet they aren't being used. WHY??
Why does the East and West have different payroll numbers?? Is the company trying to create bias within the ranks?? Hmm....thought for the day.

We have a DotCom address says USAirways/AWA. The AWA went bye-bye a while back. Four years ago?? What is that about?? We are US Airways now..live with it. Get over it. Lose the AWA. Nothing personal. It's just business.

I don't have anything against AWA but if you're going to merge....merge...get on with it.

My paycheck stills says America West Airlines. I have to file with the IRS with America West Airlines still on the form! Hello? Am I missing something? Everything to overnights, are you America West, US Airways West or East???! :blink: Again, What am I missing here?
Is the payroll that expensive, or are we still being operated sepreatly on purpose?
We have nasty eggs (fa's and gate agents) all across the system, not just PHL and PHX. Be nice, and say, hello how is your day going? 🙂

Also, why am I flying a 12 hour day, 9 hours of flying, with a nasty turn on the end, then we have an East crew dheading my last leg back to base!!?????? :angry:
Talk about bad scheduling East v.s West. We can't even get the US Airways name straight, NOW, what makes you think another merger will make a difference??

As far as I'm concerned, any of the current merger scenarios is really scary for at least one partner in that merger. UAL is almost hopelessly debt-encumbered, and LCC would need to get it's labor house in order to be attractive to anyone (and, as has been pointed out elsewhere, Doug Parker is perfectly happy with the pilots and the f/as working under old contracts. Just as Arpey has no reason to rush to new TAs with any of AA's unions).

JetBlue USA? Just like ChevronTexaco was (and now, officially is) called Chevron by everyone except the former Texaco employees, the airline would be called JetBlue by everyone except the former LCC employees. Most people are too lazy to use long names--especially in this texting, Twitter age where a short word, like your, is shortened even more to ur.

Hell, we haven't been USAir since the early 90's and people still call us that!

Actually many US employees would probably be more than happy to put that name behind them and call it jetBlue. If such a merger were to happen. Which I doubt.

As much as airline employees will complain about their airline and management they will still defend it and want to protect the name. Honestly, the WORST decision was to keep the Usairways name after the HP merger. The argument that US was the better known name hurt as much as it helped. As someone mentioned, they took an airline that many loved to hate and made it even worse. Who would have thought for a red hot second that they could tarnish the US name further? They should have gone with America West with their "true intentions" as to where they were taking the airline. Either that or they should have changed the name to something else. Hell I'm sure someone in a cubicle out there could have come up with Swoosh airlines or Heatwave Air or something. I don't really care what they call the airline in a possible merger. Just don't mess with my pay, benefits and seniority. Other than that you can call it what you like and paint rainbows or lightning bolts down the side of the aircraft. 🙄

Come to think of it I think you may be right about HP being modeled after PEOPLExpress. My first flight on them was I think June of 85. I remember paying onboard and the woman boarding behind me had no shoes on and her children had dirty faces. Yeah....thats about right. Not far from what I see today on some flights. It just leaves ya like :blink:
