1. Meatball likes the aft galley;

2. You are likely to be losing this kicking someone to the back stuff;

3. Why do you consistantly forget that you guys have been thru BK twice in three years and then pull this superior attitude on us?
[post="295694"][/post]

good meatball can be my galley hag - You def., would have gone into bankruptcy this month no doubt. Especially with the cost of jet fuel - I can say that ours was mainly bad - very - bad mgmt - I ahve to say as well that if your CEO thought that AWA could go at it alone then he def. would have. Thank your lucky stars we are in BK b/c it makes easier to shed certain things which makes it easier to merge. It takes two and we were both headed down the same road.

Keep drinking your Kool-Aid and pray you don't get called for a random drug test.

That's actually 2 years, not three. It appears that a lot of people are flexing imaginary muscles out of the fear of the unknown. Everything will be determined in due time and those that can live with it will continue their employment and those that can't or won't will quit and move on. Try being nicer to one another; everyone is facing the same uncertainties, together, from opposite ends, if that makes sense.

Hey HP is NOT the one in Bankruptcy, the only reason you can get the financing to pay off YOUR debts(from your lack of management skills) is because HP is now involved.
Funny it looks like the NEW management team is made up primarily of HP executives, with the exception of one. I guess management skills are recognized in a Successful organization like HP. US should be thankful we (HP)took on the merger opportunity to grow our airline HP..(just using your US name- with all the bad PR) maybe we should have kept the HP name and see how you all feel working for a Successful airline. I still say, be thankful you still have a job...DOH will not work.

You have no knowledge in that head of yours silly - USAir would be more likely to secure financing due to the use from more planes from Airbus which helped out and Air Canada (star alliance) partner etc. Your mgmt. team is better def. than ours. Thank god!!! HP won't be recognized in Europe or on the east coast that much thats why they kept the US name cuz thats where the moneys at. DOH will work or AFA will be voted out and Teamsters in and then you will see how nasty the union can really be.

I am not an old dinosaur and I don't think this is a board that is known for grammar etc., For your information as well I am a flight attendant with less than 10 years seniority but hey call me a dinosaur if you want. Unlike your friend Matthew on the AWA board I am not stupid enough to post that information, you may ignore me now but you won't when I junior man you to the back galley, now what?

Sincerely,

Dinosaur

This (see above) is why you will see fences around PHX and LAS for 5-10 years.

BTW, you don't "earn" seniority. You accrue it.

Clue with all due respect, fences will not last for 5 years- all the tension will hopefully be gone and everyone will have settled down by then.

Wrong again.

To all HP and US employees,
You guys really need to be careful what you post in here. Management, Investors and Customers read this board. It's totally embarrassing and totally unprofessional. Please stop the mudslinging, t doesn't do us any good. It only creates more animosity and more negativity. What is happening is totally out of control. Instead of wasting your energy on anger, focus your energy on proactive solutions that can help our airline survive and become successful. Thank you.

HP F/A soon to be a US F/A

looking forward to working with some good employees @ US.

No one here is denying your right to support the merger. Don't try and impair my right to oppose it the way that I percieve this to affect me. I also plan on voting my shares against the merger, for whatever good that will do.

hp_fa, would you rather have a merger with those stapler-wielding Sky NAAzis?

Yes, Dino, I do prefer to work in the aft galley. I seriously doubt that we will ever work together though.

You do raise an interesting point though. At America West, we bid for the positions we want to work. When we meet in the briefing room, we are not required to change positions unless the two flight attendants agree. Is it different at US Airways? Do you actually bully each other around? It seems that would create a hostile work environment.

What makes you think that Matt is a friend of mine? I have never met him, nor do I agree with everything he says. In fact, I had not read his letter until you mentioned it. I found it to be somewhat inflammatory and downright derogatory. Matt does not speak for all HP FAs. But, I do recognize his right to his opinion. I'm sure you all have heard horror stories about America West FAs, also.

Through various encounters with US Airways FAs, I have always found them to be extremely friendly and kind -- much like the America West flight attendants. Yes, there are a few bad apples, but then that is just society.

Now, I have tried to be nice to you. I challenge you to be nice, also, and just answer the posting in a more professional manner.

I would get used to the idea of long fences. If not, get used to the idea of your AFA dues going to defend a duty of fair representation suit. I'm pretty sure the AFA group probably learned something from TWA--not to wait until it's too late.

From the perspective of someone who has at "at-will" job, this idea that the US workgroup should suddenly reap a windfall due soley to length of service, epecially in light of the relative financial strength of HP versus US at the time of the merger, is either hilarious or outrageous.

You are delirious to think that HP has financial strength over US - your not worth the argument or my time...
