LOL because HP was teetering on the edge of oblivion. HP can and will do fine. Bringing U into the equation brings down there survivability. Only one of these two carriers was on a daily death watch.

Keep on dreaming, Mikey.

Check your facts
[post="276743"][/post]

I have and facts prove NOTHING in this industry. Regardless, it really is none of your concern, since you do not actually WORK for either AWA or US. I believe you love to stir the pot and instill fear because you are apparently threaten. If not, why do you continually have a desire to paint US as a horrible company? How many investor have thrown millions at American Airlines. Oh, I forgot, you don't need it. You guys are making record profits as fuel prices continue to rise.

One FACT you seem to ignore. If fuel prices were at $35 a barrell and not $50-$52, US would have been in the black. And I suppose it would be the same at AA.

IT'S THE FUEL PRICE, STUPID!!!!!
(not you personally..take off from the quote about the economy)

AA doesnt need a cash infusion right now. Not to say the time wont come, when they do. Not making profits but cash positive.

I dont know what the fuel price would make AA or U profitable. To say that is the only factor is way to simplistic. There are so many other factors that cannot be ignored.

Why is everyone (for the most part) afraid of DOH? When you are hired you don't jump ahead of those that are already working, and those that are hired after you don't jump ahead of you when they are hired. Fair is fair, you fall exactly where your seniority allows you too, no more, no less. If you have 10 years, you don't jump ahead of someone with 11 years. Except the fact that the time you have is all you have, and make the most of it.

We will NEVER see eye to eye. It IS fuel prices PERIOD!
[post="276778"][/post]
Sorry no its not the only factor. Its one of many. Even when oil was at 35 U was sitting with the highest cost in the industry. 2 trips to the court house and still have some of the highest cost in the industry. But yea its the price of OIL.

You are a jerk for continuing the US attack. Go on over to the AA boards. You have posted record loses and just may enter C11 yourself.
[post="276778"][/post]
Its unlikley AA will file unless something extrodinary happens. AA has a few billion in the bank. Money they made in there operation.

nice talk, you kiss your mother with mouth?

I hope the AWA people are NOT so STUPID as to see the BS from those that throw stones and live in glass houses.
[post="276778"][/post]
I think seeing you and your postings is showing your true colors.

firstamendment said:
If that IS the case, their asses belong on the bottom, so keep up the BULLSH!T, Mikey. Nobody believes you.
[post="276778"][/post]
So finally admits they will be on the bottom. You now admit thats where you would like them and they belong. Truth is out!

BTW, when is the last time AA posted a profit? Hum? Tell me.
[post="276778"][/post]
for a quarter or for a full year? Either way was far more recent than U

firstamendment said:
You took substantial cuts. You still are pissing away $$$. Sounds to me you are in denial.
[post="276778"][/post]
Say's you, I have never said AA wasnt losing money.

firstamendment said:
When does AA "predict" to have a profit?
[post="276778"][/post]

WTF is your beef with US? WTF do you care? AWA employees. this is the kind of BS you will see.
[post="276778"][/post]
Yea they will have to see and possibly work with off balance over the top people like you. Your BP must be off the charts.

firstamendment said:
These AAsswhole will do anything to discredit US. If you buy into it, then you are as stupid as them.
[post="276778"][/post]
Yea is you dont believe a U person or form your own opinion you are stupid. Bot I am glad you work there, and not here.
firstamendment said:
Mikey, you are a trouble maker and a typical AA NAZI. Go F--- yourself!!
[post="276778"][/post]

You are a real class act. Good luck to the AWA people, look whats coming your way.

The nastiness of some US posters on this board, right now directed at the opinions expressed by employees of other airlines, will end up directed at the poor HP employees once they wake up and realize how DOH is going to affect them. When the HP employees speak up, the rudeness expressed by people like First Amendment will really come out.

Best of luck to the HP employees. You will need it.

A lot of people on here are wondering why so many AA employees are interested in this merger, and are arguing against the US employees. Once this merger goes through, if the unions decide to dovetail or do something close to it, that would give ammunition to the TWA folks at AA to reopen the seniority issue, something the AA folks have a great deal of interest in trying to squash. So, in a way, the AA people are watching this merger very closely to see what will happen.

BINGO!

Others cannot stand the fact that this will be "fair & equitable" and that fuels the desire to stir the pot.

After being through several of the mergers I can say from experience it is not rocket science.

Life can and will go happily ever after, and the employees at AWA/U have an opportunity to show just how bright a group can shine.

Keep the faith & don't get sucked into the naysayers mentality.

Interested yes, we have all already lived through one. Nothing the AWA and U people do has any effect on anything AA and its unions did, with TW or Reno. All the cases against have been ruled agaist or thrown out.

If both employee groups are of similar DOH then of course it makes sense. But if one group is generally far senior to the other then DOH constitutes a huge winfall for them and that violates the merger policy of some unions, ie, ALPA.

I prefer obnoxious USA people to self-righteous AA people any day.

Ex,

As a US Airways pilot I pledge here and now to be an asset and friend to all of my new co-workers at AWA.

Whatever happens with seniority I will accept (as I have done 3 times before) and never look back.

There are more important things for us to collectively focus our energy on...like our competitors.

I look forward to working with all of you 🙂
