We protested on thursday at HQ regarding our own company holding us hostage on the west (fleet service ).
News media did not show up , but apparently the story is making it's way around town .I was just reading an article in the arizona republic online when i saw mention of our protest , AND one of my friends brother's called him and mentioned the protest in passing ..
It felt really empowering to stand out there and let the world know how we are being treated ! I think turn out would have been about 2/3 more if it hadn't been raining , but hey , 35-40 people isn't bad for a down pour....
I'm already preparing for the "next time" i'm going to create a giant poster about 5 or 6 feet high , and on one side it will say

Unhappy employee's = unhappy coustmers

and then on the back it will either read "U suck "

or a unhappy face 🙁 , i haven't decided yet ....

We were there for the first picket at Headquarters yesterday in Phx. It was Rough! In 3 days we rallied most of 300 but rain, and I mean cold rain every 10 minutes for 5 hours limited members out there. We held out for 5 hours. Contacted channels 3,10, 12, radio and Republic newspaper. No takers! Rain was the biggest issue. Guess the sky was falling. 30 members braved the elements. Today Dawn Gilbertson of The Az. Republic apologised for being out of town and promised to be there to acknolege futher efforts. Fleet in the West is ready to get on board. How about a rally next Friday. Any takers with pilots and inflight and mechanics and gate agents? Sorry for being a bit out of touch with the blogs.
