How bout the special fund for OUR 300 about to be furloughees ??? Or is USAPA the same as their predecessor ???

Most guys on the East side paid for the furloughees' medical coverage until they had an opportunity to return. I'm talking YEARS, not weeks or months. I don't know what, if anything, the West guys have ever done for their furloughed members.

No one has been furloughed yet from either side. Let's NOT rush things, okay?

I can think of several easy explanations for your apparent misread, even to taking parts out of context, which would imply, possibly, malicious intent on behalf of yourself.

There are many explanations and your inability to accept any other reason than to call the person names may speak to your naivete, the resulting anger that will not serve you well. Does your anger prevent you from thinking clearly outside the aviation arena, also?

I hear the union WILL be passing a list to the company REAL SOON, the list of NON-PAYERS.

I bet the company is real eager to help USAPA raise funds for it's next newspaper ad.

Getting anyone fired is going to be a long process.

Still begging for money? I thought that USAPA was going to do it cheaper and more efficient than the former CBA. Yet USAPA still charges the same 1.95%. What seems to be the problem? Going broke quicker than you all planned?

Well maybe if they stopped wasting money on stupid expenses like malicious law suits and foolish USA Today ads. Perhaps they just received the legal bill from Seham.

Running an association is a whole lot harder than bitching about one.

Dear AWA Pilots,


Many of you met the attorneys from the law firm of Shughart, Thompson and Kilroy (“STKâ€￾) on Tuesday. As we learned from their presentation, Marty Harper, Kelly Flood and Andy Jacob have devised a robust legal strategy that stands a reasonable chance of success. (Although no one can guarantee success.)


Tuesday’s meeting was held with two goals: (1) to inform you about STK’s proposed legal strategy; and (2) to give the attorneys an opportunity to gauge the interest and support of the pilot group. We don’t need to tell you that we were very successful accomplishing the first goal, and we are pleased to report that the attorneys were very impressed with your level of interest and enthusiasm. With such support, we can look forward to their representing our interests as vigorously as necessary to get the result that we deserve—full implementation of the Nicolau Award!


Our pilot group must be prepared to face hard-fought litigation with the East pilot group and USAPA. This will require strength of spirit, and ours has been outstanding. We must, however, also have commensurate financial strength. To that end, we absolutely require immediate and ongoing financial support from everyone- from those of you who have yet to contribute and from those of you who already have contributed.


The battle will soon begin. Don’t stand by the sidelines. Consider what this is worth to you personally, to your family, and to your brother and sister pilots. For their sake, and because it is the right thing to do- contribute. May we all then fully enjoy our victory when it comes, and it will come.

I mean, how many divorces, how many bankruptcies (business and personal?) and how many close calls does this guy need before he figures out some responsibility?
