they did not impose a CBA, unlike us with the IAM at US.
I seem to recall the concessionary agreement being ratified by the rank and file...is that not so?

And how positive was it when DL Management did whatever they wanted to do to the employees in bankruptcy and the employees had no recourse?
Or how was it a few years ago when DL just took away your pensions and you had no say in it?
And why does the CEO and executives have contracts yet they dont want the rank and file to have one?
well they werent very thrilled with it and turned around and voted out the Union President. The IAM reached CBAs with NW during Chapter 11
And if they like the guy they just hired 6 months ago because he is a hard charger and works all the overtime he can get, does all the big jobs without complaining that he has to go pick up his kids, or take care of his sick mother, is in better shape than you, and they give him more pay, better shifts and more vacation/sick time, even though you were hired ten years before him, then you can just quit. 🙄Err............the union at NW had NO recourse during bankruptcy either.
And our pensions were frozen at DL, just like NW...............but without a union !
And your point is?
If you like the deal CEO's get.................become a CEO !
the pilots also voted out their President..that was going to happen either way.

Ignorance is bliss.
That is because EVERYBODY else has taken pay cuts over the years not because they were EVER the best payed .Management and bankruptcy have made the difference not unions. Don't let the facts get in your way.Dont know where you have been living but having a union doesnt prevent you from getting fired.
Dont let the facts get in your way.
So why is WN so successful and profitable when they are the highest percentage of unionized workers and highest paid?

WN Management maintains good relations with their employees. So why is WN so successful and profitable when they are the highest percentage of unionized workers and highest paid?
Ok so your telling me that WN has been the most profitable airline for over 30 years and the highest paid employees because of that?Takes a lot more to get canned at a union job, than a non-union job. Hell , we don't even have a union and its still hard to get fired !
And WN.............it's called fuel hedging and flying one type of aircraft !
