Dell with the changing times I think the Unions need to change.
Why not have WEBCAST UNION MEETINGS with log on to ask questions, Each member gets a log on and password.
That way people can pull it up at work or home or if they miss the meeting it can be recorded and stored on the unions web sight.
Also this gives the member a record of what the union has said.

Just one way to keep members attendance up and members to view the union web sight for up dates.
What do you think dell?

ok dude....here's my 18 year at USAir canned IAM responce:
First off....your top contract that you purvey and tout is actually your first negotiated contract with AWA,am I correct?
(from my years of union involvement I haven't seen a kick butt first contract ever)

I see too you lost a lot of in house work by unionizing and you haven't got a majority of it and its employees back,right?(I know you have this repairman certificate program that your union agreed to that in reality undercuts your A/P mechanic position, that you guys haven't totally come to grips with)

And....one thing you fail to realize or mention is the IAM contract prior to BKI and BKII were far superior to anything you ever had or ever will.
Furthermore,our giveback's were in fact modeled after what your IBT negotiated "TOP CONTRACT" was agreed to and put into being.....if its so frigin' great then why have we come to this juncture?

The only people we have to blame is the IAM LEADERSHIP, and a bunch of spinless members who weren't willing to fight for what took labor unions years to achieve.
