Unionization

Guess 700 has no respose to that -- More jobs and better scope is all he can say. And this kinda shoots that defense right out the window.

From my point of view only - giving up wages and benefits for more jobs would not be the answer for those already employed. Maybe the IAM should try organizing the illegals coming across the border, they don't seem to mind the low wages and no benefits. But as a licensed aircraft mechanic, I do. Maybe that is the point that 700 can't understand, (the licensed ).
I THOUGHT THAT WAS WHAT THEY WERE DOING AT NWA WITH THE SCABS!!!  🙄 🙄

Go ask Dyncorp, you know Timco out at GYR.

Go ask the mechanics that removed the O2 Generators and failed to disarm them and cap them.
You are talking about them Scabs that wish they were AIRLINE professionals...

I BET YOU CAN FIND SOME OF THEM HIGH QUALIFIED SCABS AT THE SOON TO BE SCAB IAM AIRNWA

UPS is not HP, cargo vs Airline.

Why do the ibt represented clerks at HP make $12.00 and the IAM represented at US/East make $16.67?

Seems to me the IAM has the better deal.

Just like the GSE mechs at East make more then their counterparts at west.
GSE mechanics at UPS make 31.49 per hour!! Guess what genius?? They work on push back tugs, air start carts, GPU units, tow bars.... 😱 I think these units support aircraft movement    How are you going to spin this?????????

I have some ASE Certs - everybody has to study prior to taking the test. EVEN A&P's, calling it a walk in the park is an insult to the GSE's. It is no easier than the A&P test which is simple memory.
any A&P worth his salt already has learned or should understand the principles in the basic ASE tests.I was suprised at how basic ASE tests were,i'm sorry but thats the way I see them. You get into the advanced diagnostic areas then you may need some experience/training and I wouldn't characterize it in the same way.HOWEVER...the other tests are quite basic IMHO.

personally I feel the FAA tests were more demanding and required a higher degree of backround knowledge than do the ASE.

I see you UPS A&P IBT Brothers have it made with $43.94 per hour and how does that 100% medical paid work?
I bet that a lot of union brothers on here would like to see more of what a good union (IBT) can do for its members.

AS I CAN SEE THIS IS JUST ANOTHER FINE IBT CONTRACT.

Have a nice IBT day.

I felt when I did mine which was some time ago that it was the same as the A&P just simple memory - the A&P license is really a license to learn. The only difference I saw was the practicles.

I can agree to some extent....but both require studying and both go off on memory, even practicles too.
the A/P maybe a license to learn but without the detailed backround information I think anyone would be left in the dark.

and I can guarantee beyond the shadow of a doubt that you'll never ever see the likes of those wages at U. 😉

Funny, UPS outsources their ramp and GSE in CLT.

Funny, USAIR outsources union workers jobs under the IAM. 😛

THEM FINE IBT CONTRACTS are just a few, If you wish we can get CO's wages also just to give you another IBT contract that shows the union working for the members and not the members working for the union. B)

IBT Has the Top Contracts with Medical,Wages at Professional levels, More jobs and better scope to protect workers from outsourcing.

What has the IAM done for you and other IAM AIRLINE MEMBERS?

AS for the strong union members the IAM is recruiting at NWA, With the card drive.(SCABS MAKE GOOD IAM BROTHERS)

How much more do IAM members need to be degraded too.(SCAB UNION) Vote and Fight for there brothers.

Have a nice IBT day!

There is a big differences, it took two chapter 11 filings, three rounds of concessions and a CBA abrogation for outsourcing to occur.

You cant say the same about CO, WN(when ibt), UP, now can you?

And the ibt has been recruiting scabs since the 40s against the IAM at Boeing, shall I repost that history?

What about the AMTs at CO who are scabs organized by the ibt?

And what about the flight attendants in Canada that ibt organized that are scabs?

700, IAMScrewed got some valid points that you fail to respond to. Instead of answering questions and instead pointing to 101 things that you believe screwed IAM workers at your company, how bout pointing to one damn reason why in the world anyone in their right mind would keep a 'scab' union like the IAM? The question stands, exactly what did the IAM do for anyone?

regards,

Gee timmy,

You sound kinda bitter, what is a matter you upset? since you tried to start your own union three times and you failed everytime?

Does this song and dance ever change 😱 Tell me you can bring more to the topic <_<

This looks like a good response, very mature  How about answering questions? Can you not see you are in the minority on this union thing? Now go answer the questions

OK, so your response on the open floor was a personal attack with no defense of the IAM's blatant 'piss clam' representation. Typical IAM babble. Again, you can't think of one single reason so you resort to personal attacks.

IAMSCrewed 1
