I'm not arguing here, I don't understand. If it is a 1 for 1 replacement aircraft, and it is considered a "mainline" aircraft, how does it affect the min fleet language?
Seriously. Maybe I'm missing something here, but this could be really bad for the west too.
I don't know if you have 190 payscales out there yet ( I think not)...but they need to get fixed before they become the "plane du' jour" while parking the 37's.
190s are NOT INCLUDED in the minimum fleet size (yet, and hopefully never). Why do you think the company didn't just park all the 737s like UAL is doing?

They have used the limits to replace as much flying as they could with the 190s already.

You can't exactly make that same claim, can you? Because East has quoted you in that very regard for several months...and you've never retracted or denied that statement, have you? So you tell me, just exactly WHO wants WHAT around here?
The words eastus quote are indeed true, I expect every east pilot to be punished for their actions, to pay for the fact they have cost themselves and the west hundreds of thousands of dollars, you are already getting a financial hit with more to come. Every east pilot enjoys 10 less days vacation, 3 less days off per month, substandard disability, less daily guarantee, half dead head etc. And that makes me very happy🙂

Elixr, I guess in my convoluted thinking the company is replacing mainline aircraft for those which are not considered mainline. The mainline aircraft count will go beneath the TA mins. The 190 is only a non-mainline aircraft because the pay scale is such. Bring the pay scale up to mainline rates and consider the 190 mainline, hence no violation of the TA. Hopefully this makes sense in other minds besides my own.

Since I've been "off property" for awhile, the details of the fleet language are hazy for me..thanks for the reminder.
Well, that's good news..that also explains why as a FUR pilot, we could pass the 190 forever without penalty...that is, until we/I took the group 2 recall only to get spanked down on to the 190 on this bid...clever of the company.

I bet the company will want to make the 190 part of the min fleet in negotiations, since they are backfilling to it now.
I hope that the union nevr cowtows to this...unless the rates are brought up to something at least workable.

I'll check back in a month and see if you're still employed at LCC. If you are, I'll know that you paid your back dues, and all that crap about "integrity" was just some more of your idiocity.

If not, have a nice career somewhere else. Same goes for the rest of the West loud mouths.

I think Oldie answered it too. I don't know why the 190 was excluded from the min fleet count..maybe it's $$$, but he is right, they woulda parked EVERY 737 in the system if they could...
I have NO problem flying the 190...heck, I'm already typed in it...AND the 737...just make the pay similar, and if it is more efficient for the company, FINE.

In order for the company to replace 737's with 190' on a 1 for 1 basis they will have to ask for relief from the TA's minimum fleet requirements. The Negotiating Committee should only grant such relief if the pay scale is brought up to main line.

Tazz: I fully agree to same scale pay fro the 190's. I'll go so far as to offer that, in addition to same-rate scales..that soemthing notable should come our way if ANY aspect of the min fleet's to even be consdered for opening up.

Well, have a look at the rates...it's on the web, willflyforfood.com...see for yourself. I am extremely grateful for the WEST..who recaptured the 190 as a scoped mainline aircraft...I really am...but the rates that it was captured at are unbelieveable if YOU have to live on them.

As a new-hire airplane, fine.

Seniority isn't the issue, delinquency is. So you have to can the most delinquent first. Small problem: all are equally delinquent.

You are correct. The union will simply send the list to the company of all the pilots who are equally delinquent and let Al Hemenway do the job he promised (offered?) to do. It will be the company, and only the company, that will determine in which order the process moves. Date of hire...alphabetical...date of birth...employee number...SSAN...even a lottery...it doesn't really matter at all. As long as they have an objective method, there can be no cry of unequal treatment. (Of course, there will be cries anyway. Crying is just a hair away from whining, and no one is better at whining than them.)

Oh the company just likes to give away $$ because it's nice. They won't open up the rates unless they have to or you offer them something in exchange. 2015 baby.

I hope we come up to your "World" instead of you coming down to ours. The way things are going? Hope you will enjoy my world. Don't worry, you'll get used to the impending lifestyle change. Well, at least some will anyway.
