What's that got to do with anything? EVERY ONE of them is getting furloughed. East AND West. And then some. The company is cutting a larger proportion of flying from the West because it is UNPROFITABLE. Not much the East guys can do about that. Now, you guys think that 1988 hires that have never been furloughed should get furloughed before West 2004 hires. Sorry, that doesn't work for me, or the MAJORITY of pilots on this property. Get over it.Oldie: the west has less than 20 new hires. The east has over 100. Our CP office states possible numbers of 20 in Sept, 30 in Oct. Do the math. In October "save Dave" will be gone and unless the east furloughs 100 in September a 2004 hire will be gone before a 2007 hire. Do you need graphics?
I feel sympathy for all that are getting furloughed, but service to the company should count for
something.
Maybe more West guys won't pay up and you'll save a few of the furloughs. That is, unless the furloughees decide not to pay either.
Now I see what you mean. You're talking maybe a month or two earlier. I was talking about THIS ROUND OF FURLOUGHS. Furlough pay is based on LOS, so the guys here longer will have MORE time to find something before the paycheck ends (at least it works that way on the East side). Oh, well. We don't have combined ops, so this is how the company was forced to downsize. Blame your ALPA guys for not straightening this thing out a long time ago. They refused to even discuss an integration, even though they knew that the Nic wouldn't fly. Now you guys have to deal with it.
