Separate contracts will likely not be a factor in the next consolidation. If it's AA (unlikely) the APA will be the majority. An ALPA carrier would be the majority when the West pilots vote out USAPA.

US Air rebranded in like '98, prior to the multiple bankruptcies and even Sumanderson getting hired!!! Plenty of furlough time had already gone around prior to '98 though, just ask some of them '90-91(?) US Air hires who were working at AWA with a grand total of like 3 years LOS at Airways when AWA aquired and took the Name.
