USA320Pilot comments: In my opinion, USAPA contracted a consultant to evaluate East pilot sentiment with USAPA pre-loading the questions to create a Safety Culture Survey result the union desired. The Survey was designed by the union to be used as a tactic to incite pilot anger for an illegal job action, which is costing US Airways a lot of money and jeopardizing the future of 32,000 employees.
USAPA's survey was not a scientific survey like Phil Comstock conducts for the Wilson Center, but the Survey's questions were created by USAPA and then the results were put together by a brand new rookie consultant. This consultant is losing her aviation job teaching pilots about CRM/Human Factors who are learning to fly single engine aircraft at the University of Illinois. I'm sure Dr. von Thaden is a great woman, but to compare her background to Paul Morell is absurd.

USAPA's Safety Culture approach is disingenuous, the union is misrepresenting the experience of their so-called safety expert, and the union's objective is to incite pilot anger to create an illegal job action because the union cannot obtain a DOH seniority integration or a new contract.
Meanwhile, I wonder how many USAPA zealots on FPL did not complete their Distance Learning training as required while leaving Line Pilots out to dry because a union official has an element of indemnity?
USAPA is out of control, the union is jeopardizing the business enterprise/32,000 jobs, there will be more pilot terminations forthcoming, and I believe the union is in for a shock/big bang when the company fully responds to the Status Quo Lawsuit/illegal slowdown. It's too bad because many good pilots are going to be badly hurt by USAPA's actions.
