First of all nobody is going to go from jr reserve fo to senior line holding capt...
Just proof of how many East F/O's you want to put ahead of West F/O's. Instead of about 66% of the attrition you want the other 33% too. Anything less than 100% of the post-merger gains is "unfair" in your fantasy world.

Jim

Let’s take a look at the numbers

East F/O was furloughed by 625 numbers at the time of the merger. He is now 2900 a 737 F/O. Could be a reserve F/O or barely holding a line. The junior captain on the east 2170. Makes him 730 numbers from upgrade on the east.

West has 681 active captains. The junior captain is 885 of 1660. Or 53% up the list.

If you take that east F/O and place him on a DOH list and he comes to PHX. That formally furlough 737 junior east F/O is now senior to 285 west captain and all of the west F/O. That will get the east F/O now a line holding captain slot in PHX.

So you tell us, does that make sense? Yes under DOH an east furlough junior F/O would become a line holding captain on the west.

I really don’t care about the east sacrifices. That was your airline not mine. You did what you had to do. If that included being a 17 year furloughed F/O or a 30 year reserve captain. Too bad. But I am not going to sacrifice my career to make up for yours.

We have already paid a huge price because of the east pilots.
Lets look at my numbers. The East takes the first 3200 numbers( some new hires included) and the west can adjust, move

etc. what ever it wants with the leftover slots, feel free to put f/o's ahead of c/o's we dont care..period.

A nice return? Really! Has it gotten you a pay raise? Better work rules? Gained any respect from management or the industry?

Have the law suits stopped or is Seham still collecting 15-20% of the total dues?

What is the return? What pisses me off is that we are forced to pay usapa for NO return.
well slick better off than on like the rest of your back stabbing pals.

Why would we want to do that, best money we ever spent and know more than the money we wasted on you and your ALPA people but this time we getting a nice return on it, pisses you off don't it. 😛

Still working under LOA 93 and nothing to show for it , you're a real genius.

Naw you had a voice you chose and you voted did you not?? I call you what the rest of the world thinks of you as which is a SCAB!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/US_Airline_Pilots_Association

Well, I WAS born at night....but not LAST night.

That Wikipedia article was obviously written by one of your whiny west pilots. Probably you.

Anybody can write whatever they want into those articles. I edited that article myself on several occasions, only to have you johnny-on-the-spot west whiners change it back to your rant. Finally, I realized I was wasting my time, and I really don't care what the Wikipedia site has to say about USAPA, since I doubt the courts will be referring to your WikiWhines.

Anybody who quotes Wikipedia to support an argument is obviously on very shaky ground and truly desperate. And that does ring true with most of your postings here.

Yea genius, and who brought us LOA 93, might it have been ALPAAAA!!!

Psssst........I think you meant to say "our US Air ALPA MEC", as opposed to "ALPA National". That kind of mis-information seems to happen a lot with you folks.

Yea genius, and who brought us LOA 93, might it have been ALPAAAA!!!
I wish just once all of you would get your stories straight. One says "The east has already made huge sacrifices to keep this airline operating and never forget we gave this for our benefit and not for yours." Another blames ALPA for the pilots ratifying LOA93. So which is it - you gave the concessions to keep the airline alive or the concessions weren't necessary so the East ratified them for nothing (and consequently are that dumb)?

The east has already made huge sacrifices to keep this airline operating and never forget we gave this for our benefit and not for yours. You must also pay a price because A@W was not a stand alone airline anymore either. Just a simple reality you guys must understand.

What you did for AAA PRIOR to our coming along as the savior for your bankrupt airline has nothing to do with the price of tea in china! Yes we were doing just fine and that much as been proven over and over. You guys keep whinning about 17 yr guys next to our 9month guys WHY??? Because when everybody looks they see the 17yr guy at AAA 5 from the bottom of the list and he is matched with our guy 5 from the bottom of the list. This too has been proven to you over and over and over!!! We only merged with AAA because the deal with ATA fell thru due to SWA an boeing. You were not even on the radar so be thankful.

How long has ALPA been gone? Two, three years?

Yep, that money we spend on USAPA is really paying off.

Jim's right, to call you guys dumber than a bag of hammers is an insult to hammers.

In my opinion, I'd say the Negotiaing Committee Chairman and the PIT LEC Captain and F/O reps brought it to a vote...I was there and witnessed first hand how they hijacked the MEC and forced us down that road, but they had help. 57% of the pilot group voted for LOA93 as I recall. I could be off a % or so, but that is close. So, if you want to blame someone for it being here today, that is where you will find your culprits.

WE were ALPA. All National did was sign the papers after the vote. I learned something from that vote. A NO vote can be a lot less painful in the long term. I did it then and I won't have any trouble doing it again.

That's 4% MORE than voted to replace ALPA with USAPA. Hardly a resounding mandate for change. 3 years later and nothing but failure to show for it, I'd bet a dollar that USAPA would lose that vote today by a large margin.
