US Pilots Labor Discussion

Do you watch the same crew news that the rest of us do? We don't whine to Parker and Kirby thinking they have our backs. We put them up against the wall with real questions in an attempt to hold them accountable. Notice Parker hasn't come to a west crew news in quite a while. He's smart enough to let Scooter take the heat while he answers the softball questions from the east wimps.
I did watch the last one, the one with the very childish "gentleman" with the writing on the back of his shirt, talk about boy scouts , that took the cake.

Yea...you really nailed him to the wall with that question " when are going to be able to use our MAC computers for bidding". If I had not seen the beginning of the

video I would have thought it was Christ on the cross.

Watch the one in September. I haven't gotten around to seeing October yet.

I do .....my brother, currently manageing a pool company near Palo Alto. So you can stop trying to spin this .
If your brother is telling you that former AirCal pilots were furloughed from AA after 911 he is definitely pulling your chain. And you fell for it. Of course there's another alternative but I won't tempt the Mods.

Jim

Yes, those 330 s that AWA ordered are still being built. Thats a fact! Show us where AWA had booked one 330 order please.....

the same place AAA ordered 1879 Furloughs...Enough to staff 125 A 330's!!! Inclusive of an IRO!!

That's almost 8 times more than the 16 your nearly thrice failed company currently flies.

Why would we need to use Wilson? All the years ALPA used them, I never once rec'vd a call in 27 yrs. So I never believed their data anyway. They most likely called the ALPA MEC only anyway.

Who Cares if it's the Wilson Center??!! Pick anyone. Any REPUTABLE 3rd party polling company. I'm sure there's dozens. You guys pick ANY one of them out of a Hat and poll ALL the pilots. Do it. I know USAPA is too weak and terrified to actually do that but it still begs the question that still none of you Easties dared answer...

WHY not poll the pilot group LIKE EVERY OTHER PILOT GROUP IN AMERICA???

USAPA/Cleary/Sewer/et.al. are scared silly. They refuse to get the honest opinion of USAPA even from EAST pilots. They're scared and they have GOOD reason to be. Like Icarus, one can only get too close to breaking the law before you're wings melt and you crash back to Earth.

So again. I'll ask the simple question to any Eastie willing to commit a cogent answer...WHY should USAPA continue to flout convention and refuse to poll it's pilots...(let's drop the conspiracy theorist, black helicopter ALPA B.S. please) Simple question. WHY?

My guess is they don't feel the need to. I answered your question, now answer my question about how you gained access to our safety survey.

That is a bizarre response.

Please define "thrice failed" because I have never missed a pay check. How can a "thrice failed" company pull that off?

Of course they don't feel the need to. OF COURSE, the Dear Leader doesn't need to burden himself with the opinions of the unwashed masses. Surely, he knows exactly what all 5100 pilots desire in their next (realistic) contract. Obviously, there is no need to investigate further. It simply stands to reason.

My Airline is much smaller than yours...and yet they poll incessantly come contract time. WHY is that? I guess we haven't figured out how to vote in a demagogue yet. As far as the particulars as to my familiarity with your contrived, bush league, amateurish little safety survey is concerned:

NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!! 😛 Nobody owes you anything., (hard concept for an Eastie...I understand. The fact remains.)

"How often do you feel the need to steal what you couldn't negotiate, mediate, or arbitrate?"

1.Never
2.seldom
3.usually
4. mostly
5. often
6. if I had my way
7. all the time
8. with out a doubt
9. The Final Solution

That is a bizarre response.

You missed the keyword "nearly". USAPA supporters have an apparently natural aversion to facts and plain language.
Anyway.,.."thrice" (meaning 3)

Prior to Wolf coming on board in 1998, how comfortable were you your airline was going to survive? Historical stock prices would suggest you shouldn't have been surprised to see a chain and padlock on the doors when you showed for work the next day.

The other two? Those were trips through Bankruptcy Court. Remember that? Remember the time when AMW funneled money over to your payroll department so your last two checks before the merger wouldn't bounce? So to answer you question regarding how a nearly thrice failed company kept paying you I guess I'd just answer you with facts.

First time: LUCK
Second time: LUCK
Third Time: Doug was on a bender and felt like shopping for airlines at the airline humane society. IOW, LUCK.

You seem to be implying that US Airways pilots never experienced any career trouble...that coming from a 24 yr. reserve pilot makes one wonder how firm a grip you have on the real aviation world.

Did I answer your question? Now how about a realistic answer to mine?

Let's make it even easier: Would you support the idea of USAPA contracting a third party to investigate the true feelings and expectations of ALL USAPA Pilots?

That's a yes or no question. NO need for conjecture. If not....Why not?

1. You couldn't get bumped out of your seat.
2. The alternative was being placed at the bottom of the TWA

PI pilots lost their Captains positons in CLT and BWI when the airline shrunk after the merger and a few months later when the airline reversed and expanded USAir F/Os got those positions. PI Captains did lose their seats USAir F/Os.

Your assertion that USAir saved PI from being bought by TWA is crazy. If anything USAir paid Norfork Southern twice what Piedmont was worth to prevent being bought themselves.

Incorrect, according to the latest FAQ from About US:

Q. As other airlines add capacity back during this recovery, is
our strategy changing at all, or are we just staying flat during
the next few years?
A. Scott explains, “The domestic market is mature and our
domestic growth will remain flat for the foreseeable future. The
international market, however, does provide US with growth
opportunities and we have announced new service from CLT to
Madrid (MAD), Dublin (DUB) and Sao Paulo (GRU) for 2011. We
also plan to add PHX-Europe service once additional A330-200s
arrive. Our next delivery of 330-200s arrive in 2013.”
Nobody said the senior west pilots should not have a shot at the 330 as they come in. As far as PHX to Europe? It is really hard to see how that will ever work at this time. I hate to say it but if they try it, it will probably not have the demand. Especially now.

No! Why? Because we don't have to. Especially when you demand it Metro. It is more fun watching you spin up 🙄
