US Pilots Labor Discussion

And the evidence of this would be what, Lawsuits against their own members? Disenfranchising 1/3 of the membership? Extorting money from that same group to finance the first and second? A "leader" who silences all opposition and restricts the other leaders from communicating withthe membership?

C'mon, I'm not even warmed up. Surely you've got some evidence that shows USAPA is concerned with any line pilot.
luvn,

Most of us don't consider " you people" members but of course keep those donations com'n.

That's why the courts don't allow "you people" to run roughshod over the interests of other members. You might not understand now, but someday son you will. Maybe you can even explain it to Cleary.

Welcome back!
Nice signature. I can see you appreciate genius when you see it. But seriously, how has Cleary gotten USAPA any closer to an industry leading contract? You must have abandoned all hope of a decent contract when you voted for USAPA.

Don't give up hope, you're too young for that!

(Ironicallly I say"seriously", yet know full well that the answer will make me laugh so hard I may have trouble catching my breath.)

But they do allow the CBA to negotiate the contract. Maybe one day you'll understand. Na, I doubt it. The only thing the west guys understand is: "gimme gimme gimme".

So when is Usapa going to start negotiating?

29 other sections let's see what you guys can do. So far after 2.5 years I am not impressed.

I hope Kasher has his son settled in, and that his own surgery goes well, and that he has a very nice Christmas. It would also be nice if he delivered some good news so that we can also have a nice Christmas.

Amen Brother. Yet we little peons must know our place.

Then (Oct 2003).... ALPA is the world’s oldest and largest pilot union, representing 66,000 members at 42 airlines..

Now (Oct 2010).... ALPA is the largest airline pilot union in the world and represents nearly 53,000 pilots at 38 airlines...

Tomorrow...

The problem is Mike is leading us in the wrong direction.

I disagree. He received my vote and will receive it again. (Assuming he runs for office, if his Teflon remains intact when dealing with slingers of muck). I don't care if you hate the guy and he espouses exactly what you don't want. Would you put your butt out there to lead and take the vitriol of, oh, 1700 to 2000 pilots? I couldn't. I give him a great deal of credit.
Now rant away, oh haters thou...

reigned in...
Reigned in??? The former moderators actually kept me from responding. They told me over and over again not to feed the trolls. (That would be you. 😛 ) I never reported a thing until you cry babies and your posse of attack dogs complained. Then I was told that I couldn't respond to your baiting, and my only option was to report you to them. Let's at least set the record straight. As you do with everything else, you create a situation and then look for a scapegoat. Man up and take responsibility for something once in a while.

Now I can actually respond to the garbage as fast as you can projectile vomit it. Welcome to the new world order.

Btw, spinning you guys up (as easy as it is) is probably what keeps the people coming back, and the money flowing in. So I'll be waiting for my bonus check. B)

You do realize, don't you, that there is absolutely nothing new for hundreds of pages. That's right, hundreds of pages of the same old regurgitated talking points back and forth. And until something happens in court, it will be hundreds of more pages of nothing. Nobody's opinion is being changed on either side. Which means this place provides nothing but entertainment value.

It's like 2 kids on a playground saying back and forth... "You're wrong!"... "No! You're wrong!" ... "No! You're wrong!"... "No! You are!" ... "No! You are!"...

Now you all play nice. See ya in a while...

Tomorrow ........... ALPA is the worlds fastest shrinking airline union as the UAL/CAL and DAL/NWA pilots join forces to represent themselves, instead of being represented by a union specializing in representing regional outsource pilots.

I was kicked out months ago for simply speaking my mind about absolute disgusting posts concerning USAPA legal. No, strike that..I simply withdrew in revulsion. I don't know if this new invite was blanket or even sincere, but I have been offered what seems to be reasonable terms to return to this forum.

We shall see. Anyone talking trash using the names of current USAPA Reps , Committee members, or Officers will be rebutted in kind. The first time I am called on the carpet for simply defending my union and named individuals....I will be out of here.

We shall see.

You have no reason to be impressed. Maybe only sadly disappointed. Had not the Addington litigants moved forward with their obviously non ripe lawsuit you might already be working under better conditions (and restrictions!)

But then we all know the reason for the premature action....you had to strike while the moneys were hot. What a waste.

TA = Transition AGREEMENT. So by definition of agreement, yes, it does include "honor" and "implement" and "will never be altered" (unless agreed by both sides).

Coach, I am glad you included the part about "unless agreed by both sides." Those two sides now being USAPA and US Airways. And in fact the only two entities left representing this agreement, thanks to an NMB election, are indeed USAPA and the corporation.

Of course it can be revised, and I am not sure at this point there would be any reason to even do so. But it can.

What is really important now is what kind of Section 1 (Scope) each airline has, or in the case of AWA..does not have, at all.

Freund (sp?) spoke the truth to the West before he was fired. Too bad for them they did not listen.

Silver will probably soon dismiss, my guess only after SCOTUS rules (now through Mar 11?)
