US Pilots Labor Discussion

You have no reason to be impressed. Maybe only sadly disappointed. Had not the Addington litigants moved forward with their obviously non ripe lawsuit you might already be working under better conditions (and restrictions!)

But then we all know the reason for the premature action....you had to strike while the moneys were hot. What a waste.

RR

That's funny. I was just thinking that had not the AAA Negotiating team step away from the NC table, we woulld have had a contract offer to at least vote on and improve over a short time. Instead, seniority became more like a "a crew meal" and the chase was on for a Date of Hire seniority list (an obviously untenable position as referenced by the ninth's commentary). That said, we might already be working under better conditions (with NO restrictions....because final is final and binding is binding, afterall)

But we know the reason why we are all here: a handful of guys in a van decided that with the help of a law firm they would be able to vote out that bad old ALPA that is responsible for all of the AAA woes, and vote in a new idependent union that "represents all US Airways pilots"

Bad old woes like the lump-sum payout, the formerly highest wages in the industry, etc. The funny thing is that USAPA hasn't fixed any of the legacy of "bad old ALPA", they have relied on it!

The only thing that USAPA has delivered for the east pilots is the maintenance of the past benefits provided by ALPA. They are a chef whose specialty is Leftovers!

Oh, and getting rid of the Nic!

Just a handful guys in a van, huh? Sounds like AOL and the westies can't even do that right. Maybe one reason is the incompetence of their legal team. If ALPA had lived by its own rules, which it NEVER did, and NOT awarded either side a windfall (at the expense of the other side, for those that think that somehow "changes the meaning"), it might still be on the property. Giving away the pension without even a vote, putting PHL in trusteeship, etc were just the final straws.

Ah, the promise of future visual confirmation.

Maybe you could look up "Prater's final and binding" for us too in Black's dictionary while you're at it. In the Webster's Thesaurus of synonyms it lists "Shirley Temple pinky promise" and "no chocolate new years resolution."

Okay then. I guess it's settled..... In la la land.

Hey Ames...

Well since you think you know so much... why don't you just call up Dougie and the company attorneys and tell them to demand implementation of your precious NIC in any CBA... since they've "accepted" it and all... and while you're at it... why don't you tell him not to worry... 'cause... YOU'LL INDEMNIFY" the company against any lawsuits. Yeah... that's the ticket!

Let's see. I provide a bona fide fact and you provide..... Well never mind.

The westies have the Trans States/Mesa/AWA low budget airline mentality......otherwise known as a dirt bag outfits! You better tell aqua and fergie they need to put out some more updates from the army of leotards. Keep the donations coming.

In the east we will just sit back and relax as we wait for our big year ahead 2011.......

LOA 93 pay restoration

Lump Sum $10,300 to each east pilot Happy New Year

MDA law suit

Profit Sharing

Attrition is right around the corner.........pay raises for every seat change......Nice!

USAPA has been the best money ever spent.

Mike Cleary what a great leader.

Hate

Man, you guys are going to fall hard. Real hard. Looking forward to it.

You know what conclusion I recently came to? I may not work for one of the big three, but I have a GREAT job. At least I HAVE A LIFE, unlike some folks that SAY that they work for one of the big three, yet LIVE ON THIS BOARD!

Plus, I have a union that actually cares about its pilots, not one that just cares about keeping its officers on the ALPA dole!

GO USAPA!

Yet you live on this board.

And the evidence of this would be what, Lawsuits against their own members? Disenfranchising 1/3 of the membership? Extorting money from that same group to finance the first and second? A "leader" who silences all opposition and restricts the other leaders from communicating withthe membership?

C'mon, I'm not even warmed up. Surely you've got some evidence that shows USAPA is concerned with any line pilot.

Let's be realistic. Usapa is doing a great job of representing its pilots. You just have to understand that its pilots are east pilots.
West pilots need not apply....just pay up.

I hope Kasher has his son settled in, and that his own surgery goes well, and that he has a very nice Christmas. It would also be nice if he delivered some good news so that we can also have a nice Christmas.

....and if he doesn't decide in your favor you'll be wishing him a major post op infection.

luvn,

Most of us don't consider " you people" members but of course keep those donations com'n.

True. your fake union is designed to ensure west pilots pay up yet do not receive equal representation. Hence DFR. Clearly illustrates what absolute scumbags put usapa together and currently run it.
