Sorry, USAPA cannot be reformed, only replaced. There is nothing to be gained by perpetuating USAPA's legacy.
I think I am more disappointed in the Reform USAPA movement than in USAPA itself. They think that small incremental changes in an fundementally flawed union is sufficient to give it legitimacy and relevance.
ALPA lost to USAPA due to hubris and laziness and that very same laziness is perpetuated in those too timid to take on replacing every rivet of USAPA. Those who are disillusioned by the way USAPA has turned out will not throw their full support behind a whitewashed version of the same union that betrayed their trust. They will only support a totally new bipartisan union that can reclaim legitimacy at the negotiating table and who can build the unity from which flows all the benefits one expects from a union.
If you want to build a union with a real physical presence in every crew base, you'll get plenty of support. If you want to play Tom Sawyer and hand your fellow pilots a whitewash brush, no thanks.
