It might just be that being a Wall-mart cashier is their level of capacity.
I seriously can not understand people that look down at people for their employment choices.
In SFO we had a janitor, hard worker but he was always ridiculed by the M&R for being 'less than normal'.
Poor guy was busting his a$$ and being heckled by 'smart folks'.
I have found that the people that make fun of him, where actually self deficient and not confident in their own abilities.

I do not believe your average long term cashier at Wal-Mart has reached their capacity. You sell people short when you make excuses for them.
 
I bet if the government ended "entitlement" programs you would find these people a lot more capable than you give them credit for.
