I'm starting to notice how often the truth seems to be "offensive" from adults who still drink kool-aid. The "truth" is that the "NEW" US Airways is nothing more than a big America West. All of this stuff that is going on is the same crap that went on at AWA before the merger. It's substandard all the way around and what was acceptable to AWA, it's passengers, and it's employees is not acceptable to US Airways and it's employees and passengers. These recalls that are coming back are among the best in the industry and will expect the "NEW" US Airways to be held to a certain standard.

And without the "NEW" US Airways my friend you and I would be in the unemployment line.. So you can live in the past or face the future. I am a "real" America West flight attendant wanting fair pay, and a decent contract. I also had no say when it came to our seniority either. But I am willing to move on.... 😉

Agree completely. The simple minded idea of "Real/Original" USAirways or AWA is ridiculous and needs to STOP right HERE! One day YOU may be working side by side with an individual from 'the OTHER airline' and may experience YOUR Best day at work (okay, that could be stretching it) or that OTHER pool of employees may be the ones that were willing to help YOU when no one else was around or willing to lift a finger. The issues affecting this airline are Management Problems.....there is absolutely NO REASON for rank and file employees to attack each other on ANY ISSUE. On Management.....that's a whole different story. GAME ON! 😛

With recall numbers in that amount maybe the time has come for Management (who doesn't appear too willing to SHARE the Wealth) to consider closing BOS/LGA/DCA. It is only a thought.......IF FEW employees want to be based in those cities (due to financial constraints) and most of the crew members commute there anyways, closing 1,2 or all 3 makes sense. With all the cuts and work rule changes in the last few years SOMEONE NEEDS TO WAKE UP and REALIZE the industry ISN'T what it used to be. (There are many that WANT to COME BACK but can't afford to do so, unfortunate).

Who told you that MOST PEOPLE COMMUTE to BOS/LGA/DCA? There are very few since the trips are not commutable. Crews actually LIVE here!

Nobody hates west F/As, they hate the cheap regional-minded management and the jinky-janky low class culture they try to force on us.

sky high states: well, then STEP UP to our mentality. You've NEVER had fair pay and a decent contract. You've always ranked at the bottom in the industry. Are you willing to stay down there?

You're seniority was determined by AFA by-laws. Date of HIRE.

+ Do whatever it takes- more buyouts or deals- to clear the east furlough list completely all the way to VFLR. Shake off the dead leaves. Give them a travel card and get them off the list. Do whatever you need to do to bring new hires onto the property (free clue: shrinking and outsourcing airplanes worsens your labor costs as it results in an exclusively senior and topped out workforce).

sky high states: A travel card? LOL. Anyone with 25 years, already has one. More buyouts? 10 grand? after taxes that comes to $6,900.00. what's that? Two/three months of salary? Pension was gutted. NO medical benefits for retirement. All these cuts are going to have the opposite effect, you'll see senior F/A's "forced" to work into old age. And, in reality, your topped out workforce is bringing home, what, alittle over 40 thousand a year now, on average? Try saving on that.

As long as this mngt has it, I will always be down there! THEY want us fighting against eachother and stay seperate. Those bastards are just waiting for the right time to sell us out again!! Sickning!!! 🙁
