I find the idea of working on NWA jets while their mechanics union is out on strike totally unacceptable.

I can't understand why the TWU even allows such negotiations to proceed.
Under the current situation I will never willingly work on a NWA jet.

Is AA bring in NWA palnes for maintenance? If they do, they will probably go to Tulsa, as they seem to do everything they are told. No questions asked.

Why send NWA a/c to Tulsa? The twu already stated they will NOT do struck work. The twu wouldn't lie, would they?

Even if AA agrees to do NWA a/c and send them to Tulsa perhaps burchette will show how strong a union man he is and refuse such work. Perhaps even kirk wells can get in the act and start a new chant? Like, "To the hangar doors and stop! To the hangar doors and stop!"

The twu has willingly accepted former EAL scabs into the union in the past, swore them in, and calls them "brother". So I guess going one step further and performing struck work won't be any problem.

The twu Local 514 and Local 567 should have plenty of former scabs to choose from for volunteers.

"What part of union don't you understand"? The part where the twu is a union.

That is a very extensive mod. Does anyone know how long it is going to take? It is getting harder and harder to find good contracts where you can do heavy Mods such as that. Most contracts now are just C&D checks where you just open up and close panels. I am surprised that they are going to do a Mod that extensive in house. Did they start the first one on schedule and if so how is it going?

Bad news but what do you exspect from a union as useless as the twu
I read the article page 3 Righ side
LOCAL 514 looking into line maint work for NWA

AA should really outsource all of its heavy maint. Then the scabs at local 514 would all be out of a job

Do you really think that you have proAMFA? Lets here what your grand intuition has to say, please do enlighten us. Also while your at it enlighten us as to what is going on with the winglet mod., after all that is what I enquired about. But if all you have is a bunch of riff-raff save it for the NWA board. Other wise keep your yap shut. Your cooperation would be much appreciated.

You should know that more than just local 514 members would be out of a job. Given the senority at TUL and those of a lot of line stations it's safe to say that a lot of line AMT's would be out on the street as well.

MCI, your knowledge and intellect cease to amaze me.

There is going to be a substantial amount of area added to the wing, will this area be capable of holding fuel? Any intelligent comments for post #6 are welcome.

I would love to see the Tulsa boys afford the taxes and the housing at any of the line stations.
That in itself would be worth hitting the street

You don't know what your talking about scab-besides I started this topic. Keep your scab yap shut. Look in the mirror and after looking at yourself with digust for a few minutes do the honorable thing scab.
