He was at the airport in TPA to show that even a small station has a voice. These small stations have been neglected for years. It was great to see a leader lead from the front and not from behind.
It is very important that we stand together or we will fall for anything. For all of you new people who work for Usairways take the time and check out the IBEW websites and see what they are about. We are about families and the communities that they live in. It is a proven fact that union members do everything in their power to purchase US made and Union made products before any others. This is why we must reinvest in ourselves by taking back our union and holding :cop: our leaders responsible for their actions.

The IBEW is doing very well. Tomorrow they will be at another station that is rock solid for them.
I'd really like to see this card signup over with in the next 30 days. Let's get this done. Bob and Johnny D are doing a helluva job and I gotta admit this is the first union that has actually came after ramp rats. Neither the IAM or the IBT came after ramp rats. I guess the USWA did but i am bigtime impressed with the IBEW actually wanting to represent ramp rats, and also putting their AFLCIO membership on the line to do it. If that isn't a committment then I don't know what is.

Rampers, sign those cards. If you want a union that actually wants to represent you then this is it. The alternative is to sit and do nothing but bend over again for Parker's Boy. Sign the cards and let's get this done for the IBEW.

The pilots are forcing an election, Hopefully, the IBEW can go in right behind them.

I'd like the M&r, Pilots and FA's to read that post and I don't know how many will read

This occured, now we wait. The IBEW would have never tried to bargain this away.

Anyone know how that went?

You are correct. The IBEW will be in PHX over the next few days building the committee. The IBEW committee in PHX will be pretty large and I do not anticipate any problems in PHX will an IBEW card signing.

There are other stations that have called in and I have not even heard one bad report. My guess is that 5,000 cards are possible within 30 days. If anyone at your station needs IBEW cards then email the ramp rat network at:

Separately, I am most impressed with the commitment of the IBEW. The IBEW is the only union that came after ramp rats. Even when many of us tried to get the IBT, the IBT never came after us. Neither did the IAM. Ramp Rats havetn' had a union want them since the USWA. What's even more interesting is the committment of the IBEW. The IBEW is ready and willing to lay down the money and suits as an AFLCIO member to secure the representation that fleet service deserves.

The quicker the cards get signed, the quicker Parker's boy will be thrown off the property.

I noticed Bill chandle and Pat flynn in PHL this morning flying out to PHX. It's somewhat ODD that I never see them in PHL any other time when you need them for information but now that the cards are being signed I see them everyday like they are my best friend. HMMM I wonder why???

Probably catching a flight to Reno for the convention.

All the IAM has to do is press charges against them with the AFL-CIO and where is the official notice that the IBEW is raiding?

All I see is rampers passing out cards.
