Good for AWA techs standing together. I wasn't aware they refused to work NWA jets and management supported your stand.

bullfeathers dude....Bob you can mark this on your calander because I think 700 and I are in agreement that the true strength of a union is in its membership.
like i told you before.....its weak at IAM and not due to the union...its the members dude...no one has time anymore....gotta take the kids to soccer ya know.
But the union has to be held accountable for a failure to motivate the workforce to movement and unification. That is where they succeed or fail. This is one area of sucess for the Teamsters, because for all but a few individuals we are united as a group.
cut me a friggin break..you suffer from low turnout and poor attendance except in times of trouble, like any other union across this country so don't sugar coat it
This is our strength. from what we've seen it looks like BS and misinformation is your strength
Voting the same contract twice was a failure in leadership by the IAM unless the acceptance of the contract was what they truely wanted. it was what a scared membership wanted when faced with the reality of their own actions-never thought a strike vote would pass, but everyone voted for it.
And if that was thier goal then shame on them for selling out the membership and shame on the membership for letting it happen.
😳A real union would not let a company outsource all your overhaul.
A real union would have been able to bring overhaul back in-house for the past ten years.
A real airline has widebodies and flies to international destinations in Europe.
What about the $151,000.00 fine the IAM had to pay for violating FEC rules no dues money was used to pay that fine was it! How can you support a union that allows it's members to scab! You are not permitted wildcat strikes under the RLA, you can only strike when you are in section 6 negotiations the the NMB releases you into a 30 day cooling off period, only if the President does not step in and extend for 60 more day by creating a PEB.
The only other way to strike which has not been tested is after an abrogation.
And to fanlube it is illegal to use dues money to politicians, the MNPL was created for that which members voluntarily donate money to the PAC.
Do tell fanlube!!What about the $151,000.00 fine the IAM had to pay for violating FEC rules no dues money was used to pay that fine was it! How can you support a union that allows it's members to scab!
he talkin' about ALPA?How can you support a union that allows it's members to scab!

No he talkin about the old fighting machnists at NWA! You know exactly who I'm talking about the union that agreed to perform the work that amfa was performing before they went on strike. And I also see where they are about to send their members a concessionary contract for a vote!he talkin' about ALPA?![]()
you check it was in their contract if you want to get picky.....much like fleet and mechs at U doing pushbacks....AMFA walks....now an interesting dilema has come to pass.(also NWA had their butt covered in this instance) 😉 maybe same at U?141-142? 😉 hmmm very interesting...how many would salvo their fleet job for an IAM Mech picket line??No he talkin about the old fighting machnists at NWA! You know exactly who I'm talking about the union that agreed to perform the work that amfa was performing before they went on strike. And I also see where they are about to send their members a concessionary contract for a vote!
It is never right to cross a picket line! But when you cross and then start performing struck work you are a scab plain and simple, all the IAM did by allowing it's members to scab is put another nail in the coffin of middle class working men and women which the IAM says they are defending! And by the way, I see the IAM is now going to vote on a concessionary contract at NWA after spouting off they wouldn't even vote on it, I bet it passes by 57% any takers!you check it was in their contract if you want to get picky.....much like fleet and mechs at U doing pushbacks....AMFA walks....now an interesting dilema has come to pass.(also NWA had their butt covered in this instance) 😉 maybe same at U?141-142? 😉 hmmm very interesting...how many would salvo their fleet job for an IAM Mech picket line??![]()
ok dude....wouldn't it be a leftover from amfa busting class and craft?
power in numbers now bites them in the can?
different story when all on the property under one umbrella.
NWA in BK and you're suprised they have to go the concessionary route?
watch UAL for the same thing.....IAM will never honor an AMFA picket...take it to the bank.
is it right?? hmmmmm.
???hmmm very interesting...how many would salvo their fleet job for an IAM Mech picket line??
if its struck work by one labor group, but the company saw this and planned and put it in the other groups contract as their work also...we have a dilema.and its their work....so like i said....they'll gladly jump in front of a train for AMFA ?? hows about 142 strikes and 141 doesn't? how many would lay down their jobs? But when you cross and then start performing struck work
Registration fees for some conferences were donated to the MNPL(PAC) by the attendees at the conferences, they voted to donate it to the PAC.What about the $151,000.00 fine the IAM had to pay for violating FEC rules no dues money was used to pay that fine was it!
