ever wonder what we could do together?? 😉

That's the thinking I like. Teamwork. Unfortunately from what I've seen and heard the division between the IAM and IBT runs deep and getting these two to work together for the common good of the folks their are suppose to represent is 99.9% not gonna happen. Sad.

Gee does the ibt know you are an AMFA supporter now?

How many bandwagons do you intend to jump on and off of?

once again a fowled attempt from the chief of IBT stooges.

Funny how the ibt conveniently left out scope language comparisons.

IAM-all narrowbody airbus aircraft all heavy mtc and 50% of the B737s heavy mtc.

ibt= heavy mtc performed by Timco in Macon, GA, Lake City, FL and Macon, GA and by Aeroman in San Salvador, El Salvador.

Ironic that this was not compared.

1 OUT OF 13 THEN.

Do tell about the other 12 listed by the IBT then. Scope is that all you can come up with? There is a lot more than just SCOPE. Adress the other 12 and tell all of us how better the IAM is than the IBT.

Do tell........where is the widebody Airbus heavy maintenance done?? What about the other 50% of the 737 heavy maintenance done? What about the 757 heavy maintenance? What about the 767 heavy maintenance?

Found out myself.........A330 at Air Canada. The other half of the 737 at Mobile Aerospace along with the 757 and 767.
Understood that there are differences in heavy maintenance in house and outsourced but please balance the information by providing it all and not slanting it one way or another......just the facts and ALL the facts, please.

And that raises another question..............since there are a number of aircraft from the east side, being returned to the lessor (just as there is on the west side), will that or will that not lower the amount of in house maintenance?? For example, if there are 100 B737's, then 50 of those will have the maintenance done in house and the other 50 will be done at Mobile Aerospace. Just say the fleet of 737's is cut in half, that would leave 25 aircraft to be done in house and 25 outsourced. Doesn't sound good.

Lets not forgot all the airbus 320 series aircraft that AW has. They will be brought back in house under our IAM contract, along with about 300 or more mechanics jobs. Also the company is bringing some 757 work into Pit because its behind and can be done quicker in house. Where was AW sending their airbus fleet for the heavy work???

Not forgetting that in the least......just requesting ALL the information from a post. And looking at the numbers........just wondering if the downsizing of the 737 fleet will actually increase dramatically, the number of "new" mechanics........just wondering if won't balance out or not so dramatically bring mechanics in. Hope it does though.
