2015 Fleet Service thread

bob  Ive heard a lot of rumors that the union (association) is going to start at the DL 14.5 and go from there  but in the end  if we do get it  I feel that the down side is that we will lose catering   may be another dept  but who knows   Personally I don't see why we have to give up a dam thing given that we have taken beatings in the mid 2000s  and loss of some 45 cities etc    Its high flying time we get everything we lost back

Whats the mystery about pay? Look at what the CWA is getting and that is what you are getting

That would place fleet at top out of $33.51, not including any perks. Highly unlikely we would get even close to that.

first I really do not know what the pay is at CWA bec I for one am a FSA  and 2 Ive been on vacation.   third I really don't worry about the pay at CWA when Im a FLEET and represented by the IAM    The first thing folks should be aware of is SCOPE bec the company can throw all the money they want, knowing full well loads of peeps would vote for the money alone    All you have to do is look at T5 posts  and look at the disasterous contract     I for one would not want that kind of deal.   Scope is the first thing I look at  then its Wages  then the rest follows

why would we lose catering? We kept it during worse times.
give me what i know about the cwa contract! Any station with 5 flights or more; protections for others; much better double time: $32;
12 sick days; 10 holidays!!!
I want it all as well. Delta and other american agents have far superior wages and benefits, why not us?
Get to the damn table and get a contract. Stop fretting about a few things. If it was only goin to be a 2% raise then wait. But we are talking about a $7 pay raise up to $32.
If i hear one more agc say "We have a contract so we arent in any hurry" im gonna barf.
They dont work under our contract so they arent losing $925 a month.

regards,

The people screaming are assuming the worse they need to attend the CWA road shows. Also you talk about scope I see them losing BSO and I also see them having to go to AA inferior medical plan. What is the LAA side losing? oh and 5 flights a day saves your butt doesnt it?

We had 49 stations, BSO, Sky caps, RON cleaning, fueled, day line cleaning, cargo in smaller stations, catering, shall I go on?

I was referring to the whats in the new CWA contract. As far as all you lost you wont get  any  pity from the folks at US we lost the same or even more. Great now we are going to fight over who the bigger loser is .Our efforts should be to get this ASS off of their  butts. We are losing money everyday  all the ASS is doing is putting out a form letter every week. They must think we are complete a#sh*les. I take it as an insult every time I read one of those damm updates

Any AGC with that comment should be replaced next election(remind them of that) because they are obviously out of touch with their fellow union members.

And jokers like you cheered as it all went away...

As long as it's someone else, right?

As I mentioned before Albert and Bob  I do not look at CWA a whole lot bec I am not customer service  I am FSA   Second my station was one of a handful of stations that were saved from the chopping block in the 2014 contract bec the IAM REFUSED to sign the deal bec big ole Al Hemmingway wanted some cities  and the IAM balked     I know you bob love it when people lose their jobs  I hope you would be a smarter man than that in person but I dont like seeing peeps lose jobs and I was affected at one time along with countless others   But in it all we have far more to gain now than back in the 2000s  bec one we do not have a CH 11 judge to kill the contract  and two this airline is making money over money   Its high flying time we get dam good pay with dam good scope   Our LUS scope is the best in the industry and it can be made far better.      I cannot vouched for LAA contract but there are a number of LAA folks I work along side with in my station and they lost their jobs back in 2010 or 11 and most of them went to MIA or DFW or even JFK   They came back last Feb and are protected under the Association and their glad to be back home vs having to commute      Bob  if you truly want to see people lose jobs  I sure hope it happens to you then

There was an internet post that said the association cancelled meetings this week and resheduled in late october???
I havent seen anything officially.

I was bumped out of LAS in 2010 for 90 days and was recalled, then I survived BK in 2012. But without movement, people will not advance, that's the facts of life.
