Didnt we turn down the first 99 agreement? Plus it took 5 years to get and it was ripped up in bankruptcyrobbedagain said:Al, while i never been in negotiations myself the 99 agreement was far superior for fleet esp compared to the ch 11 deals and our 2014 one is far better than the previous one now that we are one airline id say use the 2014 deal and improve everything enhance scope wages benefits etc its time to stop looking in the past but to move forward

should have voted for the steelworkers700UW said:You all voted in the IAM in 1995 and got your first CBA in 1999, guess math isnt your strong suit either?
That was 1977 CC was only about $750 a semester. Thats less than you drop 1 day at the Bunny Ranch and all you do is talk to the girl. Oh yeah they do give you a martini in a paper cup thoughbob@las-AA said:

and Bert, you should get your money back from that CC and put it towards your 401K.
Im glad I cant add if I actually knew how much the IAM cost me (dues,Pay cuts and money lost in prolonged negotiations) Id go out of my mind700UW said:You all voted in the IAM in 1995 and got your first CBA in 1999, guess math isnt your strong suit either?
I did great without a union from 1978 to 1989 and then the mergers started I also remember a paycut I got back plus more before the union.Ill never get back what I lost since I joined the IAM700UW said:Cost you?
Go back to 1992 and how did the company treat you when you were non-union after the pilots agreed to concessions?
Remember what you let them take from you?
You have gained way more than you have allegedly claim you lost.
The list of what was negotiated away with the union is a lot longer. Heck you negotiated to farm out your own job. I never heard of someone actually voting themselves out of a job but the cleaners did then the IAM actually had the balls to organize and sign up their replacements. Is that the solidarity all you IAM supporters speak of?700UW said:Dementia?
They' froze your pension, took away your sick time, vacation time, OJI time, downgraded 40% to part-time, contracted out mail, freight, and express work.
And due to the downgrades the family insurance for part timers sky rocketed.
Conviently forgotten about that?

It sounds like they must have been misinformed and or misled. By whom or what hmmm...? Could it have been by an organization in the ASS ?ograc said:
Never heard of someone voting themselves out of a job? One only needs to look at what is happening currently under the most recent UA agreements. Many members voting for a TA that would ultimately cost them their jobs. I witnessed it first hand in my station and local. A station that was left with no scope protection for those employed by LCO and UA. Locally, it passed by the same margin it did system wide. It is the LACK of solidarity that I speak of and am concerned with. As I stated before; WITHOUT solidarity... don't expect much. When members' thoughts and priorities are self centered and short sighted we lose the ability to make long term improvements to any contract. The historic mindset must change. Not only among the members but among the NCs and their respective unions that make up this Association.
Clueless we never reached an agreement with the company and I was a Stock Clerk, my job was safe and not outsourced.Albert said:The list of what was negotiated away with the union is a lot longer.
