I read it as well. Outstanding brief. We are in good hands with Freund for the arbitration.
I must say, the west proposal did me much better than the LAA by about 1300 numbers...

I couldn't find the proposed seniority lists for East or West...just the AA list. Based on the AA list, I'd say the West list has to be better. I've been flying the A330 since 2007 and AA has me with enough seniority to finish my career flying the 737 or A320.

the west list is in attachment 17.

where the laa list kills usairways pilots is by equating group 4 f/os at aa in the same batch as group2 capt at usairways due to pay equivalency...

the east list isn't out yet, just the criteria as to how they are looking at it...

Ask for a little more, offer a little less, be willing to negotiate. Don't expect more than where you sit right now in your current base and position, it's what you bring to the table.

You better hope. Vasin got served by LAA pilots. Fitting. He will pay the price for greed. The west 2004 hires are not going to be happy at all with the final product. 767 Jetzz cannot find daylight on any list.
You will soon see the awa fence sitters with AA numbers flee. It is going to be very bad on the bottom of the PHX domicile.

Let's start with a big bag of popcorn, served up by a committee other than USAPA (Guess who)....

Yes, the underline emphasis was in the original.

Please pass the butter.

By demanding, and ultimately securing, a separate merger committee, the westicles have torpedoed any argument they may have for the Nicolau list to ever be given even the slightest hearing.  They themselves have indicated the independence of the PHX pilots' list by having a committee represent the meager positions they bring to the table.

They've signed on to the THREE list concept, and that is what will be heard.  The westicles have effectively turned  their back on the Nicolau list several times over the past  eight years beginning at Wye River, and presenting it to the arbitration panel will, at best, have everyone in the room rolling their eyes.

Each list will stand on its own merits based on the December 2013 snapshot.

You are a great source for baseless speculation and misinformation. That's not the feedback I am seeing.

Another gross miscalculation by the west brain trust.
How long until Freund walks again?
Your hope is that he walks prior to his presentation to Jaffe, Eischen and Vaughn.

That's what's important, Mr Assistant, not the briefs themselves.

All three of the SLI proposals are now online (for registered members) at the APA website.

Interesting comparisons.  The APA, not surprisingly, proposes to screw everybody but themselves.  It's their job.  I imagine the arbitration panel will HEAVILY discount LAA sequence.  (I can't wait to hear the LAA committee's rationale for their proposed screw job.)

Granted, I selfishly only looked to my position on the three lists, and I found it incredible that I would PERSONALLY (selfishly) endorse the LAWA list!  And, granted also, that none of these lists will ever impact my job which I will surrender to the legalities in about 400 days...long before this process is over and fully implemented.

But I am interest to hear from pilots on the rest of the various lists on how the proposals might impact their situations.

Claxon is the Brian Williams of this board and he's got his MSNBC watchers like NYC and Luv hanging on every word.

Wanna bet?

I bet they enthusiastically buy the next AOL tie.  They will crow Nic or Northing for the next 30 years, long past the retirement of all their opponents.   In 5 to 10 years 75% of pilots will be scratching their head about the goofy ties and the legends of Nic, of which they know nothing.

"Surprisingly" enough; the APA's proposal in no way embraces the nic, but instead serves to oppose it, but no worries I suppose, since "righteousness" must needs prevail. The following scene came to me entirely univited, but still good for comical relief. Confusion at their previously presumed BFF APA's actions runs through mighty "Sparta"...but lo!, a hero arises! Their very own Davey marches out to face the APA's Goliath just in time! He looks around for so much as sharp pebble to fill his sling, but finds nothing more than frustration and a copy of the nic to wad up and feebly fire instead. Tragcially; despite the tribe's vast oceans of "Integrity", their noble sufferings and sacriices...Goliath fails to be at all impressed, much less felled, and thus begins the airline world's all time most convoluted mud wrestling championships.

Gee!..Turns out the APA wasn't secretly building monuments in every base to "spartan"...umm..."valor" after all, and instead just wants to staple everyone else below them!....Golly!...Who could have EVER seen that coming? 😉

P.S. For the "minus voters"...at least be fair here!....After all; I didn't entirely discount the incredibly unlikely possiblility that your annointed champion might, assuming extreme good fortune and an almost magically perfect gust of wind, inflict at least a tiny paper cut on Goliath with the mighty nic, so don't get all angry and despairing right off the bat here kids. 🙂
