It's the truth? What is true?
Are you saying it's true each of the West Merger Committee members actually flew an AWA 747 once upon a time? Are you saying it is true each of them saw a poster of the 747 once upon a time? Are you saying it is true each of them sat in a 747 as a kid, once upon a time?
You have trouble recognizing the important distinction of "truth" and "relevance".... R E L E V A N C E...

What a joke, same thing we were all thinking

"Nagoya on February 27. Nagoya, instead of leading passengers into the "Heart of Japan", would prove to be the breaking point for America West. The route proved to be a money-loser, with the first flight carrying one passenger to Nagoya, leading to an almost immediate service reduction to three weekly flights (from daily)."

Nah, but I still have to wonder why "you'se" are so desperate to bid onto east equipment of any kind....what with that apparently vast fleet of 747's that pic would imply and all...?

Did you ever take those B-747 manuals back to United after that failed merger in 2000?

Never picked any up. Clearly unlike yourself; I never had any drooling, dream-like fantasies of just sitting in any given commercial airliner. How that's supposed to be a truly big thrill to anyone's something I'll never understand.

It's the stuff of laughter, which is good for any of us to partake in. 😉 If you're embarrassed by the obvious absurdity of currently posting a 747 in AWA colors, well, that's your problem.

You should feel embarrassed for your pilot group, Now that's desperation!.........

I had to send it to all my AA buddies, they were quite amused to say the least.

A computer screen is about as close that you got.

You and your little AFO club will be placed right where the 04' group should be and wait your turn. Have you seen the APA list?

At least we have a site. 😉

Happy Father's Day gentlemen. Get off the Web boards, and spend it with your family. I was presented with a copy of "The Wright Brothers" authored by David McCullough (of "John Adams" fame) by my family.

Catch you guys later this week.

To you and yours a fine day as well. I've not read that book, so any reviews afterwards are welcome. Per aviation tomes; a highly suggested read follows, and don't be taken at all aback by the title, as this gentlemen and his peers were amazing sorts:  http://www.barnesandnoble.com/listing/2671124397758?r=1&kpid=2671124397758&cm_mmc=GooglePLA-_-Book_15To24-_-Q000000633-_-2671124397758
