I LOVE the Anderson "MANIFESTO" (only 2nd to the ANONYMOUS chicken-#### letter that you kids sent to my HOME following the CLEARY trumped up "Identity Theft").
You are of course speaking of the INFAMOUS "Captain James Anderson" that proceeded to "instruct" a FEDERAL district court judge on HOW she should rule? Right?
This would be the SAME James Anderson that is involved in a couple of other court cases in the State of Washington, RIGHT?
What an inspirational "character", to be sure!
Hey is that daylight at the end of the tunnel? NOPE. It's a freight train & the END_OF_USAPA (sorry Jamie, I couldn't resist!!).

How soon with the American West 96 hires be in the left seat of the 330? I say, 18 months from now.
No worries on my part. But actually the "last laugh" will be on the APA and the Labor union movement as a whole. Next time this year Friedrichs v. CTA will have been decided and it looks like agency fee payer will probably be gone (NLRA). Since you have access to pacer look up Serna v. TWU 15-10328 (RLA). With that waiting in the wings it looks like employment at will is coming. Remember, it took a corporation, AOL, to bring down USAPA (and inadvertently labor unions) all together. As prechilliII salivates over these "new 330 Captain" positions in 18 months....there will only be two years left before our contract becomes amendable.
I know that I will have only 7 years next month to age 65 and if the "pilot shortage" continues and my health remains good I plan on coming to work well after that if the FAA extends the age (and they will). Make no mistake....AOL won't be telling ME what to do when YOU guys want more pay. The lesson here is seniority doesn't work anymore and you guys can picket and strike because myself and the rest of the "new hire" Captains are going to save our dues money in our retirement funds and care not what you "new union" guys do trying to get more for less. We're still coming to work.
I support the Company 100% and I will make every day, from this point forward, to make the "new American" a success. I was a part of USAPA and I believed that we could repair the damage labor unions self-inflicted upon themselves. The Ninth and the Supreme Court are "remaking" labor law now and adversely affecting the stability of the pilot profession as a whole. The "pilot shortage" isn't because of PAY, it's because of instability, seniority (or the lack thereof) provides for them going forward.
Remember, you got what you wanted....the real question now is......CAN YOU KEEP IT IN 2020?
So
"Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"
When are you gonna come down
When are you going to land
I should have stayed on the farm
I should have listened to my old man
You know you can't hold me forever
I didn't sign up with you
I'm not a present for your friends to open
This boy's too young to be singing the blues
So goodbye yellow brick road
Where the dogs of society howl
You can't plant me in your penthouse
I'm going back to my plough
Back to the howling old owl in the woods
Hunting the horny back toad
Oh I've finally decided my future lies
Beyond the yellow brick road
What do you think you'll do then
I bet that'll shoot down your plane
It'll take you a couple of vodka and tonics
To set you on your feet again
Maybe you'll get a replacement
There's plenty like me to be found
Mongrels who ain't got a penny
Sniffing for tidbits like you on the ground
