Speaking of integrity, I had the pleasure of having a plane set up with a rad nav ils tuned in. The message was LS/RWY mismatch. Fortunately my Fellow crewmember had had it done to him ,so he was aware. Another guy told me the could not figure it out and tried to get an RNav. ATC could not, so they ended up doing a LOC appr. Safety compromised for sure. Nice integrity!

The prior crew was from the Fishbowl. And a test we did on a subsequent leg shows that the hard tune disappears after landing, so it was done prior to our flight and after the previous crews landing. Submitted.

I prefer to let maintenance resolve anomalies.  And if its written up in the book they get credit for their splendid troubleshooting skills.  Hopefully maintenance doesn't take a delay trouble shooting strange anomalies, but sometimes they just do.

Sounds fishy.

Right out of the Ucrapa playbook.

Keep documenting so the company can take care of the real problem.

Hope you documented the incident and let your chief pilot and the FAA aware of what is still going on........the new AA chick pilot in PHL has told us of the increase of these kind of incidents.

You are fighting the Nic on two fronts after the 9th's ruling and it's the West is messing with aircraft. How come these things always get brought up after you lose? 😉

Who is this chick pilot in PHL?

Good for you I took an airplane where the Captains window was ajar. So... which is more unsafe? RAD/NAV or a window sliding back on T/O?

If you want to find out what is going on, call USAPA's hotline. The phone number is: (877) 678-7272. If the line quality is sub-standard, move to the next pay phone and try the number again. Keep trying, because informed is empowered. If it takes 200-300 calls a day, stay informed!!!!

For those of you that are not involved in this event but have a merger on the horizon, you should call too to understand the dynamics.

Someone with the above behavior would not think twice about causing these cockpit incidents.........some Christian........sad.

Neither is safe, but I would first ask if the windows had been cleaned. Then you should see if a Fishbowl crew screwed up and set you up. If it was East, shame on them. Mine was a DELIBERATE setup. I can see you have situational ethics.

"studying" is a euphemism for the bitter fight going on over at Leospanker HQ.  The lawyer-pilots hired in 2004 can't agree with the real pilots hire in the 90s, and the real lawyers are scheming (sorry, studying) how to continue billing (because they are good lawyers!).

"and the real lawyers are scheming (sorry, studying) how to continue billing (because they are good lawyers!"  Indeed. The incredibly childish naivete of the self-fantasized "spartan soldiers" has always amazed me.

Your troubled subconcious is showing through there, so I must ask if there's now an established protocol for pwesicous widdle "spartan" kiddies' shenanagans? Has the "cute" little unlocked window thing gone out of fashion in favor of just the RAD/NAV lately? I'll assume that forging false signatures in the aircraft maintenance log book's been put aside, since none have recently seen "George Nicolau" signed in as the supposed captain...?

Grow Up.
