agreed...no contract=no Nic implementation...per the agreement.

Sorry Bub, that's why I referenced the FIRST agreement. If you had kept your word and ABIDED by the FIRST AGREEMENT there would NEVER been an MOU. In fact you would have benefited by one new contact, and likely 2. Sorry, this post is claimed as a NO-PRETZEL-LOGIC zone.

You try to keep up. It's over. You had your say, East and AA had theirs. It is out of our hands now and whatever happens happens...so be it. This has gone on too long. Anyone foolish enough to throw money at a challenge to the BOA's ruling on seniority integration is just that...a fool.

Time to move on...

Some folks out west like to believe the East spent lots of time, money, and emotions challenging the Nicolau award, but they are incorrect in that belief.  The East simply chose not to affirm or ratify the Nic for any use, as was their contractual right.  No court had any power to require the East to accept and affirm the Nic in any contract, ever... No court ever accepted the West assumptions, even if in their heart of hearts they wanted to.

The new contract is void of any latitude for any pilot group.  It will be what it will be.

Geez, if you had just taken the NIC when we offered it...........

"We now have a better picture what the East MEC had on the table: an 8 year fence, furloughs by longevity (LOS), MDA time not counting for longevity, Dave ODell having 400 pilots below him, and the Nic surviving as THE LIST. Yes, the East offered the NIC. They just wanted to protect their retirement attrition, which stalled by the change in Age-60. Looking back, that offer must look like a home run to any West pilot right now, but last February the EAST MEC and ALPA couldnt get to first base with it.

Our former MEC and our union leadership played a very high stakes game of poker by not dealing at Wye River. Freund was right, we were risking everything..and right now, it looks like we lost. They need to take responsibility for that."

YES........it was offered

Pure Bull....farts.

The courts did have the power to require the east to accept the Nic in a ratified contract....and when the east=uscaba failed to include the Nic in the MOU, the courts found the same guilty of a DFR violation.  First time in 10 years uscaba actually made it to a contract vote.

What no court ever accepted was that the scab union could renege on its contractual obligations.

In any event, we should find out this summer if the scab union's guilt got the east out of the Nic or not!

We are separate because uscaba was willing to work for sub-union wages and work rules for an entire decade.

Congrats to those uscaba supporters who got a premature upgrade at 70% pay.  It cost your coworkers hundreds of thousands of dollars each!

Yea right junior........run along and buy another tie and send Marty your money......do we have to post your scab airline wages again.........

Remember AWA, the LAST choice of any pilot.

You see...there you go LYING again. YOU had no legal right to ALTER the Nicolau Award. Second, WE do not "negotiate" with terrorists.

Don't worry Johnny Boy, I'm sure the BOA fully understands the East Pilot Merger Committee and is well versed in the illegal (DFR) actions of USAPA & its officers.

It's gonna work out just fine.

That's the trouble. We honored our position, they did not. We were thus forced to defend ourselves all the while while "she" freely (now illegally) spent "our" money.

The good news is that the judges (BOA) know exactly what kind of person "she" is and all the dirty tricks "she" has pulled.

This is going to be a very interesting "divorce court", except we will be living in wedded bliss with our new partner.

Hey Wye don't you just admit it, you tanked your pilots careers..........no NIC for you.

To bad you chose not to negotiate....................swim my little flounder, round and round

Post whatever you wish junior.

The east retirees who are out $1/2 million each so little stevie and little mikey could upgrade to captain at 70% of West pay know the facts.

So do the three arbitrators in the current SLI.  East had the worst career earnings expectation of all three groups thanks to the failed uscaba experiment.

And how much did it cost you? Probably millions!

Sometimes doing the right thing costs. That's one of the definitions of INTEGRITY.

Ultimately, the ill-gotten gains will be lost (IMHO).

With regard to what we contributed, it was worth every last dime....AND I think it will be recovered when this is over.
