BRING ON THE ELECTION ALREADY! Is this TRIPE the best you guys can do??? +3,100 pilots don't think so.

Oh, this tape is the CLINCHER! Every East pilot will "COWER" in fear NOW!
This sort of looks like a slam dunk to US!

BRING IT ON ALREADY! Your infant temper-tantrum tape is really professional! I hope ALPA sends every pilot a copy so we can see that professional handy work National can commission from you. We'll know the warm feeling we'll get when USAPA takes over.

If Ha---sh made it, you better get her and her BF, A---green to pair up and form your legal team.

The East pilots are united and ready. I really hope you guys putting this stuff out are a minority out West.

We aren't. And we're NOT PLAYING GAMES!

Aww..chill...I think I can get rid of a crop of 'em right now on animal cruelty and farm porn charges lmao.... It is kinda' sad though. Legal geniuses these people aren't. Speaking of which:

Hey Bear..got some potential clients for you...

I'll charitably assume that the Alpo crowd didn't personally make the goat scenes...but: Consider how much material, and of what type they had to go through and view to clip such from....honestly...let that vision fully sink in for a minute...... Heck..this one's almost worthy of being national news...hopefully, no one grabs it. For "us" it's just a questionable joke...but: What a great and noble representation of airline pilots everywhere. Even any Westie out there that'd be real proud to have his/her young children and relatives see Alpo's "finest" video efforts here? ...Really proud to be associated with utter morons that'd cheerfully represent pilots everywhere as being...well...the video speaks volumes. ANYONE think that a casual observer cares about Alpo or USAPA?....or does this merely show pilots in a lousy light to any/all web surfers?... Well guess what? Those Alpoid idiots have placed this crap up on the internet for the world to see...and some of it certainly will see....hearty congrats to them. Yeeeay Alpo!!

Alpo dues money being used at it's best I'd think...(I've long held unsavory suspicions as to what REALLY goes on during all those luxury hotel "conferences"...but I'd earlier ommitted Goats as any likely issue....my bad) In fairness...perhaps it was just one or more of the "concerned pilots" volunteering time for that noble production...Stand by for their next offering: Sheep of questionable virture and attire bleating out "USAPA's Baaaaad"...and morons like these are the great supporters of Alpo?..What a complete surprise.

Sorry, I thought I was making a webcam movie for the West guys! Forgot....it doesn't work in "forum" mode cause it evidently does'nt transfer well from my "8 track" tape player! My bad!!!! (I was just trying to have some FUN!)

By the way, those cast members looked like the were PHX based...couldn't quite tell. Was that "Bear" getting her teeth flossed? VBG!!

PHX? = Not sure, but..at least our alibi's solid = even the goat looked too young to be an eastie pilot😉

The letter was written by Michael E. Abram. I googled Mr. Abram, and found his name all over the web. Apparently he's a very well known and respected labor attorney, published author (on the Railway Labor Act), and a Harvard Law School Grad (top law school in the country if I'm not mistaken).
Actually, you are mistaken. If you are going to put all your faith in those annual school rankings, a dubious proposition, you may as well know what you are talking about. Yale Law is #1, Harvard second. Mr. Lee Seham's alma mater, NYU Law, is rated fourth.

To be fair, I googled Lee Seeham. For Mr. Seeham, and the only thing that popped up was this forum! Pathetic. Something tells me he isn't published and he didn't go to an Ivy League law school (among other things).
To be fair, Piney already exposed your bumbling Google ineptitude, so I won't pile on.

Your swipe about the Ivy League is a pretty comical attempt to sound sophisticated about such matters, when in reality you are playing the fool. It's safe to assume that the schools on your application list didn't include the Ivies because then you'd know about the "Little Ivies,"also known as the "Little Three." That would be Amherst, Williams and Wesleyan (none are in Arizona ). Those are the three most respected liberal arts colleges in the country, and are every bit as tough to crack as the Ivies.

Mr. Seham attended Amherst, probably the most competitive of the three. I know that doesn't hold much water in the Phoenix crew room, where two years at Cochise Community is considered quite an accomplishment. Still, I can't help but think that we might all be better off if we had more Little Ivy grads working in Tempe (like they'd want to  ) and fewer ASU business casual types.

Don't feel bad, ASU is like way better at football.

Mission accomplished, VBG.

I'm waiting to hear your explanation too.

I know you have too much integrity to try to pass uniformed opinions as facts.

Go amuse yourself with the "The Great Alpo Goat Movie" linked on the previous page.....and then get right back to us all as per "integrity".

Seriously...get at least some small clue about the true "nature" of the sorts that you're so blindly supportive of...unless you supplied the goat yourself of course.....

Personally any union that hires a proven union buster as their lawyer, says a lot about them.

I am going to disagree to some extent. Some of the best lawyers I ever knew took cases both as plaintiff's attorney and defendant's attorney. Why? (I know the quip, it was for the money.) Because you can learn more about the law and the factors involved in a case if you can see both sides of the issue and a good way of knowing both sides is to have experience from both perspectives.

Frankly, if I was attorney shopping, I would be looking more at things like won/loss record, what experience this attorney brings to me and perhaps talking with folks who were represented by the attorney and ask them if they felt he/she was a good attorney.

Nearly 4% huh. Thought USAPA was going to be cheaper.......

Jim

It should prove considerably cheaper. After all; There's not even an Alpo-type budget category for "concerned pilots" to make propoganda-through-farm-porn films....

Not to be mean spirited, as the loss greatly affected all of us, but; How much did Alpo's "brilliant defense" of your pension cost you sir?

Actually, you are mistaken. If you are going to put all your faith in those annual school rankings, a dubious proposition, you may as well know what you are talking about. Yale Law is #1, Harvard second. Mr. Lee Seham's alma mater, NYU Law, is rated fourth.

You really are a Google God! Had I taken the time to research that information prior to making a post, I wouln't have needed to endure public humiliation by an intellectual giant such as yourself.

So I'm needing to sound sophisticated, yet you feel the need to impress us with your collegiant expertise.

Some good those Ivy League guys did your company. But I guess two bankruptcies and near liquidation wasn't bad considering what they had to work with.

BTW - nice insults! It seems as if my attacking the credibility of your one and only hope attorney has struck a nerve. But you're right - Seham isn't dumb. He'll make MILLIONS off of you guys attempting to pull off the impossible - and he pockets that whether he's successful or not. Not a bad gig.

Hey, that new spinnaker for his 75' yacht isn't going to be cheap. Plus, his wife is probably in need of another pearl necklass. Then there's the golf membership dues to pay and who know what else. Maybe the Carerra is getting a bit used with 25,000 miles on it.

Good thing there are SAPs born every minute.

Lee Seham is not different than the firm of Cohen & Weiss. This is a billable hours bonanza.

All the attorneys involved are wanking over this case. This one is year upon year of billable hours on BOTH sides. All the while your wages stagnate and executive bonuses blossom.

Just wait and see what happens. All of you will come up short as a recession will coincide IMO with a Transition agreement and then the company will say "It's a Recesion We can't Afford Raises Now" and all your dues went to billable hours. Feeling Smart & Proud now aren't ya?

Agreed. This is because unions in general and Airline Pilot unions in particular, have ALWAYS had this problem...price v. value. 2008 is most likely going to be the most TELLING year in Pilot Union History.

Delta is ramping up a full time strike committee with their own office. If any merger does not ADVANTAGE their pilots, they'll strike. Proverbiable "gun to the boards head", so to speak.

Uniteds new MEC Chairman is putting UNITED pilots first. Same tack as Delta.

NWA is silent....for now. However, NWA MEC are among the strongest, and most unified of ALL the union groups inside ALPA...bar none. Their understanding of unionism 101 is "striking"! (Pun intended, Silent admiration from me for them.)

Continental is doing well and can watch and wait for the right move.

APA is the largest union, ALPA/non-ALPA, and is asking for %50 increase and mediation from the NMB. American is even talking to them. This will be interesting.....because NO union can hurt their own company TOO much without causing bleed over to the other Airlines, increasing bottom line for the competition AND their respective unions.

US Airways ISN'T in a bad way as long as they continue to increase inernational and reduce domestic expenditures through fleet replacement with 190s and I heard some of the orders converted to 195s. Airbus and Embrarer are the airline food dejour here. Regardless of what you THINK, this airline IS getting it's act together and the quarterly results for last years fourth should prove interesting.

The only way to repair our pilot unions interest is to standardardize pilot valuation methods (other than DOH/years of service) across the industry, control your product (branding unions where you can't get an airline job unless you go through a union approved facility) and eliminate PATTERN BARGAINING, thereby creating brand awareness.

If there were a center where EVERY pilot understood and agreed with the valuation method....we wouldn't be having this problem in the Airline industry.
