I think the goat got his idea across alot more effectively than Bradford. But then again, the goat was just acting on instinct rather than reason.

On second thought....

It's safe to assume that the schools on your application list didn't include the Ivies because then you'd know about the "Little Ivies,"also known as the "Little Three." That would be Amherst, Williams and Wesleyan (none are in Arizona ).

How many are in Charlotte? Ya got some fine fiddle playin' even if ya don't know nuthin' 'bout 'que.

Is it true that the state motto of North Carolina has the word "ain't" in it?

No problem. We'll duly note you as a full supporter of "The Alpo Goat Party" concept

You actually do support this kind of crap?...I shouldn't be surprised I suppose....sheesh.

If the U-SAPs crowd could just see themselves the way the rest of the rational world does, they would be the ones appalled at the similarities to the depicted farm animals. But I don't suppose they care.

USAPA's new motto: "Four legs good, two legs bad"

Beats Alpo's "All animals are equal....but; Pigs are more equal than other animals" approach. As per "depicted farm animals"?...I'll properly leave any "depicting" of farm animals within the clearly capable hands of your AWA-Alpo group...there's proven exellence in that area already well established for the world to see and snicker/gasp/whatever at..all at the expense of pilots' dignity everywhere. You all must be so very, very proud out west...........GROW UP!

For an appropriate east motto?: I'm thinking more: "Don't let Alpo get (anywhere near) your Goat"...just look at what happens when they do......

I've not the overwhelming, and self-obsessed degree of youthfull arrogance required to assume myself a proper spokesman for "the world" at any level, so: I'll leave any judgemental issues of what constitutes the summed thoughts of "the rational world" to each reader's discretion.

Personally any union that hires a proven union buster as their lawyer, says a lot about them.

Seham has represented El Al and Alitalia against the IAM in lockouts.

Seham also lost a precedent setting case when he represented AMFA at Atlantic Coast Airlines, before when newly organized group the company had to remain status quo, ACA challenged it and Seham lost the case.
After 25 years with ALPA the term union busting just doesn't carry the sting that it use too. You really can't bust ALPA - it's not union, it's a conglomerate.

Sir, are you trying to say that all North Carolina residents are less educated, informed and human than you. You have quite an imperialistic attitude.

Folks,

Let's get back on topic and let the goats/adult films thing go away peacefully.

Thank you,

I'm just none too thrilled to see anyone representing supposedly professional pilots doing so in that fashion for internet/worldwide "appreciation". That kind of crap belittles all of us when such is tossed out for public viewing....and Lord knows that we can all sometimes appear foolish enough without any "help".

"he's not really on any ALPA committee." Surprising, that last, as he's clearly posessed of the intellectual and moral equipment needed for such...and he's even got a goat available for best advancing the Alpo "position"..whatever that truly is.

You complain that he represents pilots, but then quote where I say he doesn't hold any sort of an ALPA position. In essence, every one of us represents all of us. His video does less harm that some overweight, disheveled pilot walking through the terminal in a food stained uniform hauling a rollaboard that is more duct tape than material. I'm not saying that typifies an East or a West pilot. It could be a guy who flies cargo in a third world country. But when he walks through our terminal, people group us together and the does more to damage your reputation than any obscure video.

Honestly, I don't really like the guy very much, but I can't help but wonder. Why would you suggest Leonidas would be a good ALPA committee member? He's been thrown out of every committee he finagled his way into. Obviously, he isn't a good fit within the organization. Since ALPA is made up of members of our ranks, shouldn't the leadership mirror the membership? If our leaders are such a poor cross-section of the members, why hasn't the leadership been voted out?

Before you start casting the "cool-aid" stones, know I have no real love of ALPA. I go to the meetings when I can because if I don't voice my opinion, someone like you or Leonidas speaks for me. While I don't agree with the Leonidas' presentation, I don't disagree with the bottom line. USAPA wasn't created to represent me. It never will attempt to represent me. I read the things they posted about America West on the site before it got "politically corrected". It represents a fringe of our organization and I don't support the either the "goat" end of the fringe or the "USAPA" end of the fringe.

OK then: Enough with the Alpo-supporting goats

I agree. Let's not use goats as pawns. But come on, quit calling ALPA Alpo. You really lower yourself when you do that and I'd like to think we're all above that. Sheesh.

Adult films? Goats? Dude, you're weird.
Full story.
dinky dau
to be crazy

"You dinky-dau GI!" Is a quote on the bottom of each of your posts. You are making fun of the hell that Vietnamese women were put through. You are better than them too?

Spoken like a true America West Pilot.

America West Pilot late happy hour

Did anybody on the East ever figure out what these two were hiding? http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html...;pagewanted=all

"Both pilots were assailed on Friday by the safety board, an independent arm of Congress, and the Federal Aviation Admnistration for failing to make themselves available immediately for tests to determine if they had taken drugs or alcohol.

The results of toxicological tests on urine samples submitted by the pilots late Friday, nearly two days after the crash, were not expected for three weeks, Mr. Kolstad said. On the advice of their lawyers, the pilots had refused to submit blood samples for testing. The longer the delay in submitting to such tests, the less meaningful are the results. "

Anyone? Bueller?

We differ in that I'd call posting disgusting BS on a worldwide media "somewhat" more damaging that the most slovenly individual pilot ever seen in any airport..and then by at most ..hundreds. There's nothing ever "obscure" about internet posting...It doesn't go away, and it's viewable by many, amany millions. No matter..opinions among people differ.

"If our leaders are such a poor cross-section of the members, why hasn't the leadership been voted out?" That's in progress, along with the entirely dysfunctional entity..stay tuned sir.

"Why would you suggest Leonidas would be a good ALPA committee member? He's been thrown out of every committee he finagled his way into." I've no thoughts about the maker of that film being "a good" much of anything...but: Ummm..doesn't your question/statement fully substantiate my assumption that he at least WAS indeed some Alpo committee type person?...?...and..why was it so easy for me to accurately assume such? Quite honestly; I'd figured that this Oscar winner was indeed funded by Alpo, and, while meaning no disrespect to you, I've full doubts that it isn't a direct Alpo product. The seeming "knee-jerk" response on my part's the product of a quarter century of seeing Alpo and it's functionaries in action...period. As for "But come on, quit calling ALPA Alpo"?...I would, but this is a public forum....I've full reasons by way of the afore-mentioned quarter century's worth of observations for harboring wholesale disrespect for that august body....

There's much acid to be disposed of, or at least diluted before we'll ever have mutual waters safe to swim in.
