When the Unions push the agenda and don't give all the information and find key things that were put into any CBA to drive the "YES" vote and scare the rest that is reasons why with out involvement of all mechanics we will fail over and over to strengthen our class and craft.

Having to discuss issues diluted by people who are NOT even in the industry and not TWU or IAM represented is just another reason why more people don't read email and other means such as this forum to get answers.

Congrats, you cracked the case.

WHY THE HELL DO YOU THINK 700UW COMES ON HERE?

He is here to try and derail the AMFA message. He is a liar and a sycophant. I have told many on here that over and over again. The best thing you can do to deal with 700UW is put him on ignore. I had 700UW figured out long ago, what is taking the rest of you so long?

1.  Go to the airport and you will pay $9.00 for a whopper.
2.  Joe will still have his money when Tom's wife and kids leave him and has to pay alimony and child support but they should make the same for the same job just Joe is smarter.
3.  AMT's in the Old Days years ago did the flag in and push backs, fuel and lav dump, tows and even brake rides but over time those jobs were given to ramp by the unions to up the pay for the ramp, So as I see it their is not much more they can FARM-OUT from the AMT's to the ramp any more and the Unions let the company's Farm out our AMT Licensed A&P work and no telling who gets what from that so why do you think they care what union we are in, It's not that they are looking out for our best interests now is it. So their is your Union standard living wage for you.
4. And people don't understand why we need our own union. It has taken many years to get to this point but its time for a change before my A&P Licence isn't worth the ink on the paper or a whopper...
Don't eat at the airport!

Yep, they listened to their brilliant IAM leadership who told them they wanted to give up work. What sort of Union tells their members to give up work? The sort of Union you get with the IAM.

For all the "yes " voters,  the following article mirrors exactly why we pushed for a "NO" vote.
AA was not broke and in dire straits they used deceptive accounting practices and loop holes to declare bankruptcy and use that to break our contracts.  The TWU is either incompetant or deliberatley turned a blind eye to the sham.  There have now been several articles from differen t sources citing that AA used bankruptcy as a tool to break the union contracts.
Many of us voted "NO" because we understood we were being led down a path to our own demise by our own vote and our own union pushing us off the cliff instead of standing up to the sham of bankruptcy!
Instead of listening to the TWU why not inquire yourself on your own behalf and see what the real truth is.  Haven't they misguided you enough not to question their representaional value?
How many times has your TWU reps made statements without supporting evidence?
next time, demand evidence to support their claim and if they do not, ask them to sign a document stating that what they said is factual and true. If they do not sign it, then why are they repeating it?

This is from an article in the Chicago Sun-Times.com
Dated Sept 26, 2014, why you get hurt and Trump doesn't.

Corporations even use bankruptcy to break contracts with their employees. When American Airlines went into bankruptcy three years ago, it froze its employee pension plan.
After it emerged from bankruptcy last year and merged with U.S. Airways, America’s creditors were fully repaid, its shareholders came out richer than they went in, and its CEO got a severance package valued at $19.9 million.

But American’s former employees got shafted.
What is it going to take for all you who have not signed an AMFA card Yet ?????

So, if Joe puts the lug nuts on the left rear wheel, is single and no kids and Tom puts the lug nuts of the right rear wheel, is married and 5 kids, Tom should be paid more, in order to attain the union standard "Living Wage", correct?
How did you get to that from what I wrote? I said that everyone should get paid a fair livable wage, sure single people would live better than those who have dependents but those with dependents can get relief through tax deductions. If you don't think thats fair then I say lets do away with all deductions for everyone, including corporations and let everyone, even "legal persons" pay taxes based upon gross income, not net. Corporations are currently only taxed on Net income while human beings like us have to pay based on our gross with minimal deductions. Is that fair to those who are single? Yes, because our dependents will be the ones keeping society going when we are no longer producing. Its wrong that Corporations don't pay their fair share, then on top of that exploit the human population with unfair low wages where we end up picking up the tab because the wages they pay are inadequate. Instead of bitching at the working poor on public assistance who do the jobs you don't want to do you should be bitching at the corporations that are getting cheap labor thats being subsidized by us.

Here is a link to a wage chart put out by the a United mechanic

This shows where we stand in the industry.

Please discard the previous wage chart we released a few days ago. With the help of our readers we were able to update with the latest and most accurate information. Our chart is now complete. Policy Statement

Members Right to Observe Contract negotiations

This Policy will serve to memorialize the long standing philosophy that it is a right of AMFA members to Observe Negotiations. This right shall be offered according to the following guidelines.

1. This right shall be extended to all members in Good standing.

2. The right to attend negotiations shall include the renegotiation of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) as they become amendable (Per the section 6 Notice of the Railway Labor Act) and any Letter of Agreement (LOA) that would extend a negotiated CBA.

3.  The right to attend negotiations does not extend to LOA's that are limited to individual contract provisions, Not effecting the CBA as a whole.

 1. 4.     In the event that more than 25 members wish to attend a negotiation session a rotation schedule will be used to allow maximum participation.

  Approved:  O. V. Delle-Femine, National Director

This is from AMFA's Policy and Procedures Manual. This Policy has been mentioned to you by your AA AMFA Organizing Committee for years, as something we can do with AMFA.

If you would like to bring this here to AA then sign a card today.

Do you think that come our contract negotiation time the Association will allow you to listen in on what is being discussed? The IAM and the TWU will tell you what they think you should know. Being part of the process you can know what is going on.

Thanks for the chart....that sort of says it all........Years ago the IAM would have had lots of representation near the top of that chart, but due to the economy and the way companies do business, and in my opinion the general "who gives a Sh*t" about their members, they are at the bottom!!  The once proud International Association of MACHINISTS next tactic according to their website is to organize the Flight Attendants???  at Delta....

It is not the working poor people have an issue with, it is the nonworking parasite that games the system.

You never hear people say "You work 40 hours a week and have to be subsidized, make more money you scum".

What you hear is "Get off your lazy ass and get a job".

Keep trying to sell your "fantasy land" B.S. Bob.

If you don't make enough money then consider looking for a higher paying job or possibly school. That should be option one, not asking the government for money while you do NOTHING to change your situation.

There is a danger in making someone too comfortable in welfare.

Maybe one day the libtards will figure that out.
