CWA/Teamster labor thread -

The pre bankruptcy snap back contract better be the starting point for the new contract. Anyone would be crazy to say yes to anything that takes us back to less than what we had 9 years ago when things were different.
I am sure the company will want to claim that for USAirways to compete effectively in the industry that adjustments should be made to the current work rules to give USAirways greater efficiency and to allow work to be performed at more competitive rates. Small and medium station better watch out if Piedmont and CWA hook up. Outsourced labor is always high on the list. The Hub’s and focus cities out voting the small and medium stations. Very slippery slope
SCOPE SCOPE SCOPE
Pass negotiations already allow American Eagle type wages and work rules

On Jan 1 2012 , CS finally gets everything back that we gave up in BK2.

Public sector workers have seen a 40% increase in pay and benefits over the past 10-12 years ..... Airlines are making big profits again .... we are one of the lowest paid ..... the snap-back is due.

Very True! If it happens there will be lots of seniority from medium size stations transferring into the big ones CLT, PHX.

Velvet is negociating your new contract, good luck with that. She'll give away your snapbacks for a free buffet.

All they care about is numbers, and dues. You have to hope your interest line up with theirs ... sad but true.

Public employee benefits are a big part of what is bankrupting so many cities and states.

You've been watching to much Glenn Beck :D ..... Unfortunately he's right.

A long time ago my first station manager at (Piedmont Airlines) held an employee meeting with us and stressed the importance of working smart and not wasting Piedmont's money, he said quote, "we are not like the government, we can't just print more money or raise taxes to stay in business."

The bad thing about today is, the public sector has recived huge pay and benifit incresses and the Goverment has started printing more money to meet the obligation, which is devaluing the dollar, which is killing everone in the private sectors saving, home values etc.

Every dollar the government prints for this reason is a pay cut for you and I.

One step forward and two step back!
