CWA/Teamster labor thread -

john john,
answer me this please.

Part Timers sked 4.0 hrs.
Open Time P/T , has 6.5 sked,,why is that fair?

Bid opentime
Senior person gets the shift
That's fair
You really didnt answer my question....

Isnt there a ruling that an open time should only have a 4 hr shift..period?

This was a extension...of a shift...

Can we grieve it..you seem to have the answers.

Shift extension should go by seniority
If no body wants the hours then mandatory shift extension will be done by reverse seniority

How Much?

Some interesting reading sent to me by a friend. For all the CWA people, you really might want to see what your dues are paying for...

Apparently the company approached the CWA about delaying our negotiations and the CWA gave in. Imagine that.

WTF?

Why?

Something cooking?

And this is why we should CONTINUE to Retain them?

They want to get the Pilot and FA contract wrapped up before going into ours, from what I hear. My only concern is, why would the CWA not ask for anything in return like say $1 per hour increase? Just sayin

The most important thing will be SCOPE. An extra $/hr or week of vacation won't do much good if most of the jobs are outsourced. For those hubs who think they are safe, imagine what would happen if the EMBs suddenly are treated like express flights!

Anything above 50 seats, be it EMB or CRJ700/900 must be treated as mainline.

No, heard it from the training department first but it has been buzzing around the airport.
Do us all CWA’er a favor and ask him. This what happens when no information is put out to the membership. VH needs to get off her heavy compensated asers
