Funny, no one seemed to have a problem overflying thier option when nearly 50%, 5000 of the company's flight attendants were getting furloughed. :angry: :down:

For us pilots (and I think the F/A's) there is no such thing as overtime. No time-and-a-half or doubletime.

For most of us (excluding the trans-Atlantic, transcon, maybe Caribbean/Latin America) it takes about 2 hours on duty to get 1 hour of pay. So 90 pay hours equals up towards 180 hours on duty that month.

But your pay is double per hour for each of our hours we work.

I called a scheduling supervisor........The extra 5 hours is "OPTIONAL" for line holders for the rest of Oct., But reserves will not be able to call out of time until they reach 85:01. Next month will surely be different for line holders.

as if its not hard enough to make my time as a reserve then you throw this 5 hour s**t into the fold. Hey why dont we just offer vacation fly back also. Maybe ill go all month of nov not flying. This is the most idotic thing, just lay me off already.
