I read that the first 75L (of 18) is making some domestic revenue runs to test out the new seating and IFE. Will this be primarily focused on DFW-JFK and/or MIA? Or are there any particular routes to look for it on?

Have there been any issues to date?

I'm guessing that if they will be used domestically , that they'd be used on the Big Time routes(that leaves DFW out),...like BOS/EWR/IAD.....to LAX/SFO, or JFK/MIA..to..SEA.

Such use is painfully inefficient and costly for marginal to no benefit. Plus, it has the added problem of getting customers on routes like BOS-LAX "excited" for a new product which will only be taken away from them next fall.

They will be spread throughout the network. It is likely that they will end up doing a lot of hub-to-hub flying and JFK flying. It's already showing in JFK-DFW for April.

MAH4546,

I agree(to a point), but if put on (say) BOS/LAX-SFO, which is using standard 75's, and use to use 76's, why not LEAVE them in place ?

No one challenges us out of DFW, so IMHO it's wasting an upgraded a/c that could be used between cities like......BOS/LAX-SFO..........EWR/LAX....IAD/LAX.....MIA/LAX-SFO-SEA....JFK/SEA.

it's doing a San Juan turn on the 31st out of DFW

For about the next week it's going to be flying the DFW/MCO and DFW/FLL route.

It could be that they want the airplane back in DFW often so the IFE vendor can work out any initial bugs in the new IFE system. Just a guess, though...

Crew training and maintence.

For now, I think AA wants to make sure they start and end the day in DFW. And so far, that is what they are doing. And notice they are keeping them out of flying north on delay prone routes.

MAH4546,

You are THE BEST, when it comes to this kind of "stuff"

To be totally honest, I NEVER considered the "delay prone" thing

I'm sure it looks like any other 757 does on the outside...

Here are a couple from the Flight Service website. Nope, won't work. It says max file size is 39.55k. Try aaflightservice.com under the FS tab. AC is 5ET. Track it with RGA 5ET/F.
