Roabilly, Are you asking me to withdraw? Why, do I threaten you or your peers? I think I would represent the membership to the best of MY ability. Sincere I am and most know that. I was NOT born to be an AGC. I was born in an Union house with most of my family in unions. I presently work as a Manager at another company wich is non-union and the owner says I run a union shop. I'm not really sure what he means by that but I take that as a compliment. I believe in what I do. Today I'm on the occupy ticket and I firmly believe the agenda is going to work and make a great change in how the IAM does business. I also believe this could make a ripple effect in the union community. I'm not on the internet all the time but I try and what I've seen here in the last few days has made me think. You'all been trashin and bashin like crazy. Tim seems to be enemy number 1. Its almost as if you guys hate to the point of WHAT! Thats where I'm out of this page for a while. As for Facebook, and United. Thats where most people are in the world. FACEBOOK. I don't like facebook myself but hey I have a page and I try not to get in to trouble. I think your a well respected agent and your views and opinions are dooley noted. As for me, I most definately am not withdrawing. If anything you boosted my confidence. I know the Occupy ticket is the right thing to do.

Let me get this straight … are you saying you are currently a MANAGER at NON-UNION company other than the Airline in question? If so… the occupy clown car has just lost another wheel! This has got to be a freaking joke… if not… we are entering the Twilight Zone… up in here!

Perhaps Nelson’s convoluted ideology… the one where the entire word is wrong… and he is right… actually does exist somewhere!

P.S. Niblet and "Knees"… I don’t hate Nelson… I admire the h*** out of him… I wish I had his gift for convincing anyone to do anything… I could have really used it in high school with that cheerleading squad!

Mike, the 2% is in the contract. We all see it there. Granted it was not in the T/A. We all see that too. Now there is verbage missing from the contract that was not negotiated in the T/A and yet was added to the contract and verbage eliminated from the contract that was not negotiated in the T/A. If there was a contractual provision eliminated would that be a slam dunk grievence? NOT. Its a loser. Now there is a 2% raise that was typoed in and try to grieve that and its a loser also. Seems the company wins either way. Doesnt matter now I cant even win a 48hr rule because somewhere they rewrote in volunteers supercede the 48 hr rule. Where does it end Mike? What happened to us? 2% is 2%. Typo or not. I want to see an AGC come to Florida and do some good. I miss Mickey but that doesnt help me. As for your scenerio, all I have to say is If my aunt had balls would she still be my aunt.

Are you kidding me? If your lawyer said 98 out of 100 terminations should be withdrawn what would you do? Simple question which a true Union man should have a simple answer for. Ask Tim sr. what answer you should give. Get real.

all I have seen so far from them is that Tim Nelson is this, or is't that or that he has done this or hasn't done that.

I have not been around RD alot but my take on the guy is that he is a genuine person when it comes to what he wants to accomplish for Union people. He seems very knowledgeable on subject matter and I believe that UA and US will get a very good contract with him in charge. That is just my take in the small amount of time I've been around him.

I think we are shooting ourselves in the foot if we go a different direction again. Seriously, these guys have not had the time to get a contract for us yet. This contract we have is a bankruptcy contract that had a couple of things added to it in transition talks. Many of the problems stem from having 2 bankruptcies and not being in section 6 negotiations since 99.

That’s easy to answer… you have entered a realm where questions are answered with more questions… were Delaney is the Devil… and Tim is God… where the Railway Labor Act doesn’t exist… where college credits are worthless… where education really means NO education, and no education actually means you are educated…

I have not been around RD alot but my take on the guy is that he is a genuine person when it comes to what he wants to accomplish for Union people. He seems very knowledgeable on subject matter and I believe that UA and US will get a very good contract with him in charge. That is just my take in the small amount of time I've been around him.

I think we are shooting ourselves in the foot if we go a different direction again. Seriously, these guys have not had the time to get a contract for us yet. This contract we have is a bankruptcy contract that had a couple of things added to it in transition talks. Many of the problems stem from having 2 bankruptcies and not being in section 6 negotiations since 99.

He is a very nice man and a nice neighbor I'm sure. But your belief is not supported with evidence of his actions. There wasn't anyone who wanted him to succeed more than me but he was just awful, but a bit better than Canale.
Again, engage in the HAL contract or the UA/CO contract talks and you couldn't possibly come to the conclusion that your contract talks are in good hands with him. His negotiations are absolutely terrible and lack any respect whatsoever from management. Also, compare his contract talks with the other groups on the property at UA and ask yourself why are our members falling farther and farther behind other groups. And it's not just because of Delaney, it's also because of the structure of the IAM that we intend to fix. Just changing out names isn't going to change anything unless we change out the way this district does business and adapt it into this century.

Point being that you need to remove that log from thine eye... personally, I don't know the circumstances of niblet, but did you expect him to somehow change the workforce to be unionized? And... <gasp>... he might be a manager in an unrelated industry! You didn't have a problem 4 years ago, but you suddenly found one now?

Also why don't you just say who you think I am, as I am guessing based on prior accusations of being ClockJockey, Freedom, Creme Horn, Dave, Tim or one of the Tempe Boys?

Please. I'm a lead agent at Usairways in FLL. 've worked fo USAirawys for 25 years. Three cities. Now I also have a second job. Most of us do. Cost of living family and other reasons. That just shows how hard I work. On top of that my phones rings 24/7 for the membership. I'm always availible and I am always there when needed. So pay attention.

I hope it means you handle things in a consistent manner, and treat your direct reports like professionals, by holding them to high standards.

Speaking of Mickey, I just arrived home from the viewing and funeral. Candidates from all three slates, at various times, were in attendance. Some spent days and hours while another showed up in gym shorts and was quickly gone. It was about paying respects to a guy who reached out, did the best job he could and treated people with respect.

While you guys are all trying to burn each other's houses down, remember the above. Despite everything, you are ALL on the same team.

His 2nd job is at a non-union firm. BTW, the fact that so many have to have 2nd jobs, shows (to me, anyway) just how far aviation careers have fallen, and how much work we all have to do to regain some lost ground.
