Fleet Service thread IAM

[Hey.. Chill Out]

Fuzz, fleet is not a group to succomb to instant gratification. I recall stories of groups taking YEARS to get a fair deal. If we settle for less now, then we are sending Parker a message that we are easily taken advantage of.

I'm not so easily swayed by company propaganda of rising fuel prices and politicians warning of a recession. There will always be butts to put in the seats.

A weak agreement NOW may mean a better one during the next merger, but we are not about to let the company sacrifice our livelyhoods as a chance for them to invest. Lets do what Southwest is doing and go for an EXTRORDINARY contract. After all, doesn't our company make money comparible to WN? I don't hear THEIR CEO crying over fuel.


Lets not forget that we are probably going to fill the void in Hawaii, and starting a new China route, and other various routes. This will mean $$$$$$$.

Trust me, a 4 dollar raise won't bury the company!

I disagree never under estimate the stpidity of this group. I know I dont.
This group just doesnt get it. The economy is sick. Its not the time to keep throwing away money. I just wonder how much each and everyone of us has actually lost since the Sept T/A was voted down. My guess is that would be a pretty big number.

My sources in CLT told me today... that there was in fact an agreement...and they were awaiting a response from the Company's Financial Department for the sign off.

Supposedly… they anticipated something to be announced after 5:00 PM today by the 141.

I hate to speculate but I am inclined to think as other colleagues of mine
that the Company was waiting on the Mechanics to announce the ratification
of their contract. That insures that they will not incur further costs if they
turn it down and were required to negotiate further. With that behind, they
will likely have an answer.

the company can cry fuel prices and all this and that but as we know here at CLT how many flights are leaving here maxed out ,over sold? we have to be in the high 80% capacity and Gods knows they are shoving that leave on time down are our throat, they get results now it is time to pay the band

Ok this is what I’ve heard as of this morning , that yesterday the company after having agreed to something in the proposed TA , changed it’s mind and the union and company have continued talking over what ever issue they got cold feet about , apparently it’s important to the fleet service workers , or so I hear …. Anyways we should be getting another update on if the talks are going anywhere and there’s a TA tonight or not as soon as they finish tonight …


P.S Hey union reps , if your reading this my message to you is this , if you can trade in profit sharing for more money , please don’t hesitate or think twice about doing it , thanks a million !

If we can’t get anything for it then leave it in , BUT if we CAN trade it for something , be it more holidays , sick days etc , then adios profit sharing !
