If we aren't going to turn profits anymore because of high fuel prices, then what is the problem with leaving that language in?

I would venture to say, that the “Profit Sharingâ€￾ language removal would be a precursor for any potential purchaser… or merger partner.

This eliminates any additional subtractions from the projected annual earnings.

(I.E. Looks good in the submitted documentation to United, or whom ever.)
 
That was interesting but the one above was the one I was trying to post.
 
If we can’t get anything for it then leave it in , BUT if we CAN trade it for something , be it more holidays , sick days etc , then adios profit sharing !

We gave up 5 bucks an hour, elimination of shift pay, cuts in our vacation, elimination of double time rates, work rules gone... the list goes on......

The company gave us profit sharing for all of this, they want it back fine? we get all our stuff back thats my deal!

Oh and we want the CEO to give up his 200 percent pay increase option as well....

I've been through a few airline mergers in my career,however these CON ARTIST,SCAMMERS AND CRIMINALS IN THE USAIRWAYS( AW UPPER MGT. TEAM) ARE BY FAR THE MOST ARROGANT SOB"S THAT I'VE EVER EXPERINCED,THEY SEEM AS THOUGH THEY ARE WAY!!!!BETTER THAN THE EMPLOYEES AT THIS CO.WHOM HAVE GIVEN THEM THEIR VERY EXISTENCE...IT'S TIME TO SHOW THEM WHY THIS AIRLINE IS STILL HERE.....OR NOT.....
 
What's going on in CLP? I hear there's some senoirity manipulation going on.
Anybody got any specifics, I'm hearing it's about keeping someone from getting bumped to
pm shift. Just wondering, a couple of laid off guy's have been talking about putting in
a greivence.

21:13 (EST) and still no update from the IAM....

O'man... My understanding is... it was the Company that had to justify the Union's proposal.

Hmmm... would that not still be negotiations....and not a T/A?

Ok well I apologize for the stupid coment and yes Im a bad speller.
Yes I do work in DFW. What of it. Most in my station are in agreement that we are crazy that if we have an agreement that offers us a resonalble pay raise that we should consider it.
So my take on the Sept raise would have been much higher than that 544.00
As would it have been for my west counterparts here in DFW.
As Im sure you are aware we make much less than class 1.
I continue to say this is the biggest problem that we face is the class 1 dont understand how much we in the class 2 have lossed and dont want to contiune to systain these losses why the company continues to make a profit.
One more item I dont know what papers you guys read but everwhere I read fuel is going up and is expected to continue to rise so I really dont think the company is just making this up.
There may solidarty in some places but there is also a lot of frustration out here and if we see another deal turned away and have to wait another year or 2 it could get real ugly.

As for the rest of the boys… that will be a collective decision.
