Ok well I apologize for the stupid coment and yes Im a bad speller.
Yes I do work in DFW. What of it. Most in my station are in agreement that we are crazy that if we have an agreement that offers us a resonalble pay raise that we should consider it.
So my take on the Sept raise would have been much higher than that 544.00
As would it have been for my west counterparts here in DFW.
As Im sure you are aware we make much less than class 1.
I continue to say this is the biggest problem that we face is the class 1 dont understand how much we in the class 2 have lossed and dont want to contiune to systain these losses why the company continues to make a profit.
One more item I dont know what papers you guys read but everwhere I read fuel is going up and is expected to continue to rise so I really dont think the company is just making this up.
There may solidarty in some places but there is also a lot of frustration out here and if we see another deal turned away and have to wait another year or 2 it could get real ugly.
Make sure you don't include ORD or alot of other 'smart' class 2 stations when you say 'we'. Your endless desperation has got the best of you and your fuel phobia is unsubstantiated. When fuel was at its all time high intraday trading [$112.75] Hemenway signed the Mechanic TA promising them a 31% raise. Last Thursday, the company's 8k filing promised up to 200% bonus' for next year. Show yourself some decency and respect. Based on what I heard was in this latest TA, it's worst than September's. Canale and Hemenway will get their reward.Ok well I apologize for the stupid coment and yes Im a bad speller.

In the meantime, USA Today sez we are the "Lowest of the Low". If Hemenway ever did the math right he would figure out that you get what you pay for. Looks to me that his 'cost neutral' = work neutral. Nobody cares.

Well dont go telling the West Mechs that is was a good deal. I work with these guys and most voted against it. They are giving up some shops in exchange for more pay. There were also things that they had that the east did not and gave that up too. Tim its all about the numbers and who has the most voice in a vote not if its a good deal or not.
As for the 200 % bouns for the upper managment is concrened, yes its excessive but look around you its what every company in the US does for there top guys. They all have performance bouness.
So this is nothing new. Just look at AA they give there guys the same type of bounus money.
You can complain all you want about it but it is what it is.
Im more concerened that we come to an agreement that can bring us a pay raise and some benifit changes. Until we see if for sure theres no need to speculate.
If you want to use that way of thinking than why is it that the company can't bring our wages and benefits up to American or every other company in this industry? And it is all about the numbers and who has the most voice in a vote and the voice said NO last time and if it is not better than the last it will be a big NO again. Just the numbers man, just the numbers! If thecompany wants to open our contract than they better give us a damn good offer. You can complain all you want about it but it is what it is!
PS - You can always say one thing and do another.
Well this is not a normal opening of the contract. Its a transistion agreement, thats why there will be certain things not addressed. That again seems to be a problem for some folks.
What we need is to take care of the pay and few other items than get ready for the real deal in a few years. To continue to wait and hold this up does not benifit anyone but the company becasue they just contiune to make those profits off our backs.
I for one dont by the fact they need us for any merger, I dont think were that important.
