I really feel sorry for those of you who bought
this last agreement. Not in the sense of pity but
in the sense of belief. If you trurey believed you
were getting the best deal, that you felt you could
make, than you believed wrong. ''freedom'' I hope
for everyones' sake that you are employed by the
company as a liason' for the management group.
Because if not I'll ask why didn't you take the time
to pick up a phone or pm someone and ask more
questions before agreeing to this. If it was not obvious
that the ease of casting a vote was not provided for
everyone as easy as it was provided for you than you
should have questioned, WHY ?? RC got what he wanted
and as much as I'd like to believe he'll get his just due,
I will not wait for it. This vote insured him of security and
at whose expense ? Not mine, I saw what I was getting
and was not fooled but its' how the majority voted and
I'll sit with it.

AIG , WAMU , wachoiva , fanne mae , freddie mac , lehman brothers , country wide , credit markets frozen for the last month , a 25% drop in auto sales across the board , 150 billion dollar stimilmus payment at the start of the year , 700 BILLION dollar bail out yesterday (800 i think with the add on's ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i haven't even named them all .... while i'm younger than many of you , tell me , is it normall to enter a recession where your largest/oldest instution's fail at the very start of it ? hmmm remind me young mind , how many times has the goverment put out bail out's more than 500 billion dollars ?

ah perhaps i bought it because , as i've said in the IAM threads when we were having this discussion , by the time our contract had expired allowing us to strike , as so many of you were boasting/aiming for .... i told you way back when , the us economy would most likely be in the gutter and we would have no teeth ... no strength and no postion ...

I was on this committee and have been on record stating DOH is my preference. West did not get DOH.

Let me be more specific. The east gets exactly 50% credit for part-time service. Therefore, almost all the east agents have a different class date from hire date. Almost all the west agents have the same class date and hire date. It doesn't appear they lose anything for their part-time service. This integrated list should not have people subject to different sets of rules. Now is the time to correct this so everyone is treated fairly and working under the same set of rules. The different seniority rules should have been made clear to the membership before we voted on this contract.

So I see you haven't named one industry company in there? The point is........don't complain about something you voted yes on. Most of those companies you mentioned were scamming the public in Qualifing for loans or scamming the public in taking care of their finances.

The subject of our company is all together different and if you can't see that now, then you never have. But............you'll survive because there are now those who will work for you and not for the company. Get it?

Hop on this Choo Choo and learn something so you can help more later! This company is charging for things that will never go away. They will make their share and we will be here with or without you.

Not this ol' bird....I got ZERO credit for my part-time service....a big fat ZERO....those of us hired before May 1, 1979 got nada for their part-time servce.

Another great USAir decision.

P Rez, I give you credit for owning up to being on the integration comittee, and standing up for date of hire. How is classification date calculated for the West? The membership put their trust in this comittee to come up with one set of rules for all. They botched it. Now they have a chance to redeem themselves within 90 days, or we are stuck with this roster until 2012.

NEW DIRECTION .. is sworn in oct 21. with I think if I'm correct Nov 1 effective date.

What most on here don’t realize is that in the late 70’s thru 80’s Piedmont Airlines was selective (Good ol’ Boys) as to whom was awarded full-time. The partial credit for part-time service in essence penalized senior people who were held to part-time status… while more junior good ol’ boys got upgraded! This travesty is still reflected in many of our now permanent adjusted classification dates. I think we should call for a class action if this not corrected!

Perfect question Rouge......This comitee in fact did'nt integrate anything. Some mistery person walks in and tells them not to change any of the old rules, just keep everything as is. This is segregation, not integration. We want New Direction!
