The LM-2 for ALPA filed with the DOL doesnt lie.

Your lying.

And here is another interesting tidbit from ALPA's 2013 LM-2

They spent just with this one charter company $112,000 for the chartering of private jets.

They are an Alpa carrier . In Canada. So what .ALPA =national union....DALPA = local ... DALPA has no cars or condos or $600000.00 dollar a year executives. ALPA does. I send my money to DALPA. If they send part of it to ALPA then In my mind I'm not paying them S### . Get it outsider.

meto   when you say DALPA  is it similar for UA and any other air carrier or no     I see it as DALPA is a branch of ALPA  is this correct?

No UA are militant ALPA . At least half of them are. The original UA side. Yes it is but DALPA is much more independent in practice .

READ FOR YOURSELF:
Joanne Smith's rebuttal to the MSP Star Tribune. After reading decide for yourself - does Joanne, then Sr. VP In Flight, Now EVP HR or does Delta Air Lines, have your back? Delta chose, in this case to post a defensive rebuttal instead of opening communication with FAs about the fatigue issue. FAs are still forced to sleep on couches, even a year and a half later because Delta does NOT provide them with a hotel room. Or FAs are forced to walk through the streets of London. This sums up the "Open Relationship" Delta has with its employees. Joanne, who is NOT a FA rebutting a study conducted on behalf of FAs. The points she makes are false and misleading and easily recognized as such by real FAs.

God helps those who help themselves.

Counterpoint
The May 26 article “Many flight attendants dangerously exhausted” examined an issue that Delta Air Lines takes very seriously. We work closely with our flight attendants to help ensure they have adequate rest opportunities.
We believe the vast majority of our flight attendant professionals, who take great pride in their training, customer service and good judgment, would take offense at the assertion that they would choose to fly routes where they would not have the opportunity for adequate rest.
A few key points the article overlooked:
• Delta’s rules for flight attendant rest, which exceed Federal Aviation Administration requirements, offer great flexibility for attendants to choose the length and duration of trips they work, and they have the ability to manage their schedules to ensure adequate rest.
• Of all the trips our flight attendants can choose, the long-haul, international flights described in the article are among the most sought-after.
• Delta provides a broad slate of tools to combat fatigue, including rest facilities and opportunities on aircraft and at airports, and hotels that are well-suited for a restful sleep.
• Our flight attendants also are provided a wealth of information on fatigue management and strategies for ensuring adequate rest.
It’s unfortunate that the article highlighted a tiny number of flight attendants who have had unusual issues in this area, or who may have a hidden agenda.
The vast majority of our flight attendants, who are the best in the world, work hard every day to ensure a safe work environment at all times for themselves, their coworkers and their customers.

Joanne Smith is senior vice president, In-Flight Service, for Delta Air Lines. outsider... Get some current quotes from DL . She is no longer in that position....ps sorry Baba for taking your hotel room.....oh wait that never happened. My bad

who don't you repeat that same exercise for pilots and find out that they are worse off than FAs and, wait, wait, they have a union.

Unions can't force higher salaries than what the market delivers.

and as much as you would like to argue otherwise, DL is PULLING up the FAs. you do recall Laura Glading's comment that she has been chasing DL FA salaries her entire career... and she still is chasing DL total compensation considering that DL FAs blasted way past AA FAs new contract when DL FAs got 16.5% in profit sharing AND DL spent more per FA on benefits than did AA.

so much for what a union can do.

Why did ALPA get DL Pilots a 20% raise in the past 2 1/2 years and everyone else got 4%-8% in the same time frame?

Why is DALPA asking for a 35% raise and the elimination of Profit Sharing?

What happened to ACS and FAs Profit sharing when DALPA agreed to a 33% reduction?

With no caps on flight hours and unlimited drops – including jetway trades – IAM-negotiated contracts guarantee flexibility.

FACT
Delta flight attendants already have these benefits – no caps on flight hours, unlimited drops and industry leading flexibility, especially with our A-Day program. In addition, our direct relationship has allowed us to quickly make other enhancements to increase flight attendant flexibility based on flight attendant feedback.
For example, Delta introduced the following:
• DAL, DEN, LAS, OAK, PHX and SJC as jetway trade cities
• Monthly base swap option
• Out of base swap option
• A-Day courtesy release into time off beginning at 1700 on the last day of an A-Day block
• A-Day holders release to report if a trip signs in 0700 or earlier
On top of these changes, you get to keep for yourself the $700+ in yearly IAM dues to buy things you want or to invest – with company match – in your 401(k).
With the IAM, all of these enhancements would require negotiation, possible trade-offs and waiting until the entire contract negotiation is completed. And future scheduling changes could take significant time to implement
