Hey Dawg ever heard of deregulation, oil speculators, Internet pricing, global recesaion, Sept 11, Government interferance, Low cost carriers, SARS, lobbyists, terrorism, plane crashes, stupid business decisions, stupid people decisions. (Leaving a lot out I'm sure) oh Bankruptcy laws, corporate raiders (Lorenzo, Icahn, Trump)

One BIG disease with lots and lots of symptoms.
Yeah I could think of  a few. Unreasonable demands, ridiculous work rules, job actions, strikes. Weaasles do the road crews in FLA have one guy working and six guys watching like up here in NY?

So who can they blame at DL for Leadership 7.5 and their bankruptcy filing since they only have to negotiate with the pilots and dispatchers?

And Dawg, I'm gonna call you out, you praise the IAM at NW for bringing ok the ramp stations to the merger whe DL only brought 12, so explain that please.

Weren't  the DL pilots bailing taking their retirments at an alarming rate so much so that  DL had offer to rehire them

I'd never say that some Unions have basically held hostage their companies, or cities. I grew up in Queens brother. 78th Street and Woodside Ave. My buddy Mo (Yes that's his nickname) is a garbage man making over 100k.

Do I hold it against him? No. Am I jealous he got the job? Yes.

I bet if you were in one of those TWU represented transit jobs you wouldn't be voicing an ounce of protest?

Head over to the Local 100 office, tell them who you're with (501) and volunteer to help that local. They may get you in with something?

Oh and the road crews do the same thing here in Miami as well. I95 has been a nightmare to drive home for over a year now.

Same story here at AA. As a matter of fact AA rolled into BK court to stop them the day after the APA said no to letting them get their retirement and keep flying.

They rolled in the very next day.

That was my point. Again my memory isnt as good as it was maybe 700 could retell the story of Alaska airlines and the IAM. I seem to remember thr IAM winning the arbitration did the IAM members get their jobs back?

No they didn't get their jobs back as it was a couple of years or more but all laid off ramp from SEA where the violation occurred got a monetary settlement.

But the arbiter did rule in the IAM"s favor an AS appealed back to the arbiter and lost again they did threat to go to court but they didn't.

honestly I don't get much of that from Delta or from management.
It more from people like WT who really have no business talking on the subject. I have seen plenty of guys try to kiss ass and get a management job, constantly telling on people and "keep them in line".
This seems like a pre-req for a merit spot in ACS. JMHO based on what I see/hear in my workplace/from my peers in other stations.

I thought there was an offer to return, but most of those that hadn't already exercised their seniority had moved on to other careers?

Not sure I believe you unless you're management yourself or maybe not in a low skill required position? Are you ACS or an FA?

As far as your second part. Oh no, I'm sure they don't trust me and I don't trust them either. But we do have a mutual understanding I'm sure and can talk with each other. And they know who I am all the way to the top of the ladder. I'm not exactly low profile.

I also have my sights on your airline. Personally I think it gives my upper management a slight smirk?
Well, I guess it's a good thing that I don't really give a sh!t what you believe!

Is that the same IAM that crossed AMFA's picket line?
