uh... the IAM gave away YOUR profit sharing, robbed, so the execs are the ones that get it - same dollar or same percent isn't even an option at US, right?

The world is a very unfair place.

capitalism IS unfair to those who can't command the same compensation as others in the marketplace - and yet the vast majority of the world's peoples want capitalism and not socialism.

Maybe Kev would rather have everyone work for free since that would be equitable.

So, all employees are created equal, but some are more equal than others?...
So a janitor should make as much as a doctor?

Just not an equal distribution...

But it's okay for some to get more of their "share" than others doing the same work, right?

Only thing that got hit was the false front you've built trying to convince people all is bright & sunny here.
And the only thing you hit, is that you work in a dark and gloomy place!

"...everyone would get the same dollar amount of profit sharing..."

So the guy who's been at DL for one week, deserves the same as the guy standing next to him, who's been a dedicated employee for 30 years?

"Shared Rewards" are the same for everyone, last time I checked!

Actually the membership voted on the removal of the profit sharing, the IAM doesn't have the authority to remove profit sharing. Dont let thefacts get in your way.

Just like the membership gutted scope at UA? You aren't fooling anyone here. The negotiators removed the language.

Josh

The ñegotiators don't ratify the agreements, that would be the membership.

so you're saying the IAM doesn't get its hands dirty if something less than laudable gets voted in but the IAM is supposed to get all of the credit if some great advances are made...?

uh, swamp, bridge, Florida.

We all understand the process and know the membership ultimately ratifies or rejects the agreement brought forth by the negotiating committee. A responsive and accountable NC will listen to the memberships needs and work to deliver an agreement along those parameters. Scope was the number one item for UA followed by healthcare. How did that turn out? Enough with the cop out answers, you know full well the negotiatiors gave up profit sharing give it up and move on.

no, Kev, they are shared. They just aren't shared the way you like.

Just like any other part of this "grassroots" campaign, you just have to convince half plus 1 of every employee in each voting group to think like you do.

In the case of getting profit sharing equal to other employee groups, which most notably would include the pilots, you have to convince DL to give it to you THEN you have to convince the pilots to give up what they have.

I can absolutely assure you that you will be long into retirement and have caught the last boat/plane/bicycle out of town/off of planet Earth before the pilots agree to reduce their profit sharing or salaries or anything else to allow other employee groups to have more.

How should the profit sharing change?
Say I fly 50 hrs a month every month for the year.
My friend flies 120 a month every month for a year
We are both considered full time.
Should we each get the same profit sharing?  I think not
