that's not exactly what im saying.   and no im not small myself  🙂    UAL was bigger than US but yet the IAM represented both carriers  and they currently are gonna have a joint with TWU at the new AA    what really sucks is that you truly sound like the WT type ANTI UNION ANTI WORKER    I really hope that you don't have to experience what non union folks have gone thru but if it takes that for you to realize why unions are far more important in the airline industry than I don't know what else to say   except may be youre like WT and in part of mgmt.

Im the pro worker and anti BS type. Is management perfect? Nope. But don't blow smoke up my a$$ and promise the world with a union/CBA, knowing damn well you cant deliver. AFA, IAM, etc all the same long winded stories, yet have nothing to back them up once on property.

And once they are on property they are like a bad STD, can never get rid of them. lol

You don't have much faith in your coworkers, do you?

^^^^ truth.

and the simple reason why US ramp had good scope is because they were low paid. It is not rocket science to see thruout the industry that poor pay often leads to good scope.

and if you can get scope AND pay, that's great. but most people are not willing to give up pay in order to get scope. in fact, the IAM/UA ramp contract showed how easily people will sell scope for their own persona benefit.

Parker didn't go after US' scope because he has an enormous personal and financial incentive to get the workgroups merged and the merger finished.

There will be more and more people who will wake up and realize that Parker is making promises he can't keep - AA simply does not have the revenue growth to support all of the new costs he is taking on.

every other airline is run by people who have learned that making deals with unions that weaken the company is not worth it....

when it has been shown that AA can pay the bills for all of its commitments, including labor and aircraft, and still generate industry comparable profitability, let us know.

for now, there is little evidence to support that AA's unions have gained for the long haul.

and Kevin,
once again, a whole lot of people could accept unionization at DL if it was an inhouse truly employee-led effort and not a project to divert millions of dollars from DL employees to large national unions.

I agree with you kev.

pete   take a close look at PMUS IAM contract  more specifically the scope    then compare it to DL  and get back to me..

before the 14 contract  the scope was ok  but got enhanced more significantly and it also includes AA metal   secondly regardless what WT says  and he really does not know much beyond his usual BS  that US could not outsource unless the mainline count went down to something like 28 jets a week for 1 yr period     it got enhanced so now it is only 7 jets a week with AA metal included  DL can and has outsourced cities     and not all of the ramp is completely DL mainline regardless what the former revenue mgmt. says on here

Coworkers my a$$.

Whose all the IAM fat cats raking in hundreds of thousands in salaries paid for the by the actual co-workers?

robbed,
once again, you refuse to accept that US scope is what it is because US paid its people so low. Parker was tripping over himself to do the merger with AA and he committed to labor to give them hefty raises to support it.
He didn't touch scope because it is so contentious and the new AA is overstaffed anyway.

and despite this supposedly great scope that US has, DL still has more of its stations staffed with its own people than AA/US has.

of course it helps that DL flies to almost 50 more cities with its own aircraft than any other US airline.....

and we haven't even started talking about above wing personnel.

and supposedly more 717s are on the way.

The scope is better now that they are higher paid than it was when it they lower paid.

again, Parker is desperate to get the merger done so he can financially benefit.

it has yet to be shown that AA can pay the bills that Parker is taking on as part of the merger.

They are paying them just fine, go look over the transcript from the earnings call.

And care to admit you were wrong about US, Scope language and Pay?

What would you like to know?

If you're asking why there's no DL people on that list, it's because we're not members yet.

Nevertheless: who exactly do you think will be negotiating on your behalf? Hint: it won't be any of those three...

it's notable that there is precisely ONE person who participates on this forum who will actually vote in the FA election - and he/she is against.

Is it also notable that there is an anti-union ex-partner of mine whom I would like to see the benefits of working under contract at a unionized carrier?
