I heard that in LAS the TWU FSE transfer baggage for the IAM FSE. Is this true?
this was the topic of your post....why do you change the queerie then?IAM Do they fight for your jobs or work?
Give the complete answer that is YES if your a Class 1 city and NO WAY IN HELL if your a Class 2 station. Just ask all those who were outsourced.this was the topic of your post....why do you change the queerie then?
the answer is YES
I know this is for a different IAM contract but.......sounds like ALL the IAM union members, no matter which contract, are NOT happy. Whether it's M&R or Rampers or whomever. Yikes!!Give the complete answer that is YES if your a Class 1 city and NO WAY IN HELL if your a Class 2 station. Just ask all those who were outsourced.
Yes, AWA has ALWAYS been a low paid group. But no one made us stay. And that has helped us survive. And has brought us where we are today.......merged and a new airline. And that is the train of thought that will continue when it comes to costs with the new airline. It was rather convenient that the old US Airways pay scales were reduced (by various means and measures) to fall right in line with the AWA scales. So with that being done over the past few years, the merger was right on track and easy for the courts and creditors to buy off on. Remember, the merger talks were started a number of years ago and then put aside.......then AWA's talks with ATA and those were scrapped........then the talks with US Airways were restarted.........right about the time of the latest contracts. So...........it was all calculated then and I'm sure is all calculated as of this very second. And no one will know which "plan" will be pulled from the file until the time is right.I guess none of you realize that US management used the bankruptcy laws to pillage the CBAs and even had two of the three IAM contracts abrogated in court. Two bankruptcies in less then two years and three rounds of concessions.
You people at HP were so lowly paid that you did not have anything left for your company to come take from you when the ATSB gave you your loan, they even stated that HP employees' wages were below market labor rates.
your coworkers bought that deal hook, line and sinker.be mad at them. The IAM sold out a whole bunch of mechanics and related in 2005.
700UW, save your chest beating, you know the truth. It was either sink or swim for the IAM and they launched a bunch of workers by scaring the rest into voting to toss their brethen. And dont preach that "it was the judges fault" crap, the IAM should have launched a wild cat. But instead they tossed a bunch out of the boat.
you're funny dude...i know personally of a bunch who went out the doors in PIT to never return and for the violations you mention too.But the IAM will fight for your job, the only ones who I seen the IAM save were the worthless, the thieves, the slackers, the sleepers..etc.....I seen them get guys jobs back who where caught stealing 3 to 4 times!!!???
surf's up mate! There, nothing like a little ranting in the morning...
True.......but now we are all in the same boat. The IAM contract has pretty much matched the pay scales of the IBT contract BUT the IBT contract has better vacation and better sick time. And yes, the MX scope of the IAM contract has more in house maintenance right now BUT there are statements that COULD continue the current outsourcing and possibly even increase the outsourcing. The IBT contract is open and being negotiated. The IAM contract is NOT.I guess none of you realize that US management used the bankruptcy laws to pillage the CBAs and even had two of the three IAM contracts abrogated in court. Two bankruptcies in less then two years and three rounds of concessions.

That bites......stuck with it for so long.......please, please, please try to make me and many others, understand WHY you so fiercely hang onto and defend this abrogated, non-ammendable contract. You slam the AWA workers for being low paid but the old US Airways workers have taken it in the shorts so now that those wages are comparable to the ones you think are so bad.The contract is not amendable and the ibt contract will go away upon a SCS ruling and even with an election the IAM CBA remains in effect.
I cannot answer for the district, why dont you call them?
And let me explain this to you for the 100th time, no matter what happens the IAM/US CBA will be the surviving document, not the ibt/hp CBA, that is legal precedence. Is that so hard to comprehend?
