Just received my July edition of the District 141 Messenger. I think it should be called "The United Messenger". I'm not knocking United, but Randy shouldn't disrespect the other members who are not.

I did notice he did threw a few US Airways pics in without specifically noting the memebers affiliation!

I noticed "Henderfuzz" made page 9. I know this because I can see the US Aviation webpage up on his terminal. Funny how he took the money and ran away never to post again!

Rat ,
don't get the messenger . save me a copy. love to see who "boy blunder" from DFW is.

so what has happen to our good "friend" District Force? It seems like he along with the rest of Cheap Suits cronies have disappeared like a cockroach with the light turned on.

who can forget him selling that pig of a TA by braying how we needed to make our self attractive to a merger partner?

nevermind about the same time the IAM newsletter was telling us how they didn't support a merger?

no wonder Team08 was subject to such a senseless beating

and where is "Chicken Little"? so far oil has dropped 21 dollars a barrel and the sky seems to still be up there.

No "Shocker" sighting in ages maybe they finally got flushed down the toilet?
I have not gone anywere and I congratulate Rich Delaney on his victory.
The IAM is a democratic union and the members have spoken and they have made a solid choice in Rich Delaney and the New Direction Team. Randy Canale's time is over.

In my time in the IAM, I have not seen such a District leader more disconnected with the pulse of the membership, and a membership so focused on voting him out. Obviously, the members made it clear that he was not doing his job. In my opinion, I don't believe Randy or any of us saw this coming.

Nonetheless, the leadership transition is ongoing and the New Direction leaders have gone over and above in the past several weeks doing their part to transition the leadership.

Wow, that is truly funny.

While I do not know you personally Mr. Farce the membership was being re-routed time and time again over the past several years and with many a member crying for help, which never came (Canale) it just amazes me just how dis-connected Canale and his team were from the membership.

I find it quite funny how you and the team didn't see this coming, because we all had been warning you for months, all the while the same lame do nothing-nothing can touch me approach continued.

What I want to see is all of the Ex-AGC's now having to come back and work under the terms of the many years of neglect from our District that they told us was so great...and that was the best they could do....

For many of us that truly is Democratic....

Let this be a lesson for all, you worked for the membership, not yourself.....

Regards.

No I didnt run away, but my budget is sure getting better with my pay increase. Especially since gas has increased almost 2 times since we voted in the pay raise.
I will say this I have not posted becasue I dont see the need to continue to #### and moan here when what we should be doing is moving forward and finding ways to make sure that we can keep this company from going out of bussiness in the future. Now Im not one of those who is a doom and gloomer that thinks this will happen but do feel it is our responsablity to make sure we as employees do our part to make people want to fly us and keep comming back.
That means doing our job the best way we can. Yes I know in many places we contiune to work short and that really sucks, but it is what it is. I also do think we need to make sure mangment is held to account with some of these issiues where they arise.
We can be a success if we all work together and find the best way to do our jobs.

I've sure turned into a party animal with that .24 cents an hr I got and even better I get to wait two more years to top out <_< 🙄

too bad you wasting your obvious economics skills chucking bags in an aircraft 🙄

Rat…

I think yahh had one ahh them typographic errors… so I’m includin' an editor’s correction… your post should have read as this…

“Too bad you’re wasting your oblivious economics skills chucking bags in an aircraftâ€￾

Mr. Farce…

Your newly found patriotism for the New Direction, as well as the Membership… reminds me of a scene in my favorite movie of all time… “The Outlaw Josey Walesâ€￾!

Remember the river ferry boat operator who said… “You know in my line of work, you gotta be able either to sing "The Battle Hymn of The Republic" or "Dixie" with equal enthusiasm... dependin' upon present companyâ€￾?

All I can say is… you better hope Mr. Delaney doesn’t say… “Well, Mr. Carpetbagger… we got somethin' in this territory called the Missouri boat rideâ€￾!

Sup , it's me again :mf_boff: , I’m still here , never fear , i just don't have as much time as i used too , plus a lot of the issues just aren't as hard hitting as they used to be .

You can rest assured that the sky is indeed still falling , albeit very very slowly …

The magnitude of the economic hit our nation is going to be taking is in my mind greater than anything you or I have ever experienced in our life time ….

It’s not going to happen overnight , the elections will distract most of the American public , and after that ends the holidays will occupy the people , then in January things will REALLY begin to sink in ….

I know the market’s been going up and down this last week , but that’s because the investors have no idea what’s really going on right now …

Our fundamentals are still the same , and their still horribly weak and getting weaker ..

1. US economy almost tapped out on the Federal and state level (war in Iraq , less tax revenue ect )
2. The price of oil continues to remain damaging to the economy (hovers around 125)
3. The credit crisis has taken on it’s own life now , and is moving throughout the market as a force independent from the mortgage mess
4. Mortgage mess continues and house prices also continue to slide …

There are other large factors as well , but I won’t dull you to death …. 😛h34r:

Freedom…

I have good news! NASA is certain (Via Phoenix) that they have confirmed the existence of water on Mars! All is well… economically!

I just got off the phone with the CEO’s of Exxon Mobile… BP… Chevron Corp… Conoco Phillips, and Shell… and they all assured me that these are absolutely the best economic times since the dawn of the Industrial Revolution!

In fact… they indicated to me that their quarterly profits are the largest ever recorded by any Corporation since the inception of accounting!

This economic prosperity has also been reaffirmed by every single CEO, and Senior VP of all the fortune 500 Companies… You can call each, and every single one of them… and I will assure you that they will indicate that they personally, have absolutely no problem making home mortgage payments… car payments… or for that matter… any other household expenditure requirements!

It’s time to party like a “Rock Starâ€￾!

So Mr Canale,

Years ago you personally ran away good people, brought in a mess of IBT fellows, to run "your" IAM.

I wonder how he feels 9 years later, as he is voted out in a landslide and sent towards retirement.

Remember, an election really reflects the amount of people who don't like the job you're doing

Saw yer picture! Congratulations… not everyone makes the 141 Messenger paper!

I applaud yer dedication to the Company! Find solace in this rarely affirmed fact… we (Fleet) can work double shifts… seven (7) days a week for FREE, and still make absolutely NO difference in the direction this industry is going!

All the gung-ho rhetoric that is currently being touted as a panacea for our woes… has absolutely no credence in terms changing, or resolving this situation!

In other words… Yew can work yer butt off fer free... and still not make one bit of difference!

Hey… Nelson…

Yew been awfully quiet!… Word on tha street has it… that tha “Boys†gotta big party planned in tha next few weeks!

I ain’t sure… but they kept sayin’ sumthin’ ‘bout ahh Throw-Down… er… no…ahh… “Over-Throw-Downâ€â€¦ sumthin’ like that…in ahh place called Jacksonville …?

They told me the official terminology wuz…

“Over-Throw-Down… in Jackson-Townâ€!

I throwed ahh couple ahh bushels ahh sweet corn in tha boiler … we’ll let it ferment… then let um run through tha coils… should be ready fer yer distinguishing pallet in time!

Yer Buddy Roabilly…

I can agree with you on that to a point becasue economic conditions do dictate how we do. All Im saying if everyone were to just throw up your hands and say my efforts dont do squat than why are we here? might as well go somewhere else.
Ive given 25 years to this company and I for one dont want to see it go away, I just wont be one of those who feel its fruitless to try and do my best.
I feel you are one of those too.

Fuzz…

Show the same enthusiasm toward fortifying our position as “Trade Unionistâ€￾… and you will then be well on your way toward understanding what is wrong in today’s Airline economic dilemma.
