Anyone know the status of new uniforms? We're supposed to get them every 18 months.
 
Update from friends on the outsourcing of CMH:

Jetstream will be the vendor. Anyone else ever hear of them?

July 22 is the date city transfers will be announced for those electing that option.

The 3 shift managers will be keeping their jobs even though there will be less personnel to be "responsible" for. Let's all congratulate the shift managers at CMH. Huzzah. <_<
 
Jetstream has a strong connection with the old USAirways. They picked up a bunch of stations in the last round of farmng out ramp.
 
I'm not sure just who Jetstream is today. At one time it was the W/O that is now PSA, but I doubt that there is any connection to this company. I am surprised that they didn't give the contract to Piedmont a well since they have been getting most of the outsourced stations recently. I can't recall which ones, but I know that they got a few stations out west where they obviously didn't fly into. Either way it is very sad to see more of our own people lose their jobs in favor of some vendor who pays poverty level wages.

It is my understanding that the 2 guys that started up jetstream were former US employees out of TPA.
that may explain the close connection..

ATTENTION CMH agents.

Just a little friendly advise.. IF at all possible STAY on Payroll. take a transfer to what ever city
you feel you can get to.. List all the cities if you have to.

Because ONCE your OUT the DOOR it is nearly impossible to get back in. CMH is Gone as well as the other
cities that were thrown under the bus. IT will NEVER reopen so if that is hope I am sorry to tell ya
its not going to happen. I know your P*ssed at the company right now but if your expectations are to stay
in this field then I suggest you take the transfer and at least see if it works out for ya..

You have to initiate the reordering of uniforms. Go to your uniform office if you have one
and ask them how you go about ordering replacements.
 
I heard news the CMH agents who put in for other cities all received the first choice of picks for a new home station.

Heard news today that 4 Ft agents and 3Pt from cmh was awarded clt, which was their first pick. Havent heard any of the other awards yet. But Im pretty sure thats it for clt.

As you are in LAS (and according to my furloughed source in LAS now living on a beach somewhere), you can confirm that those FSA who were furloughed six months ago did not have the luxury of CLT, but instead given the options of PHL and DCA? Any bets the CMH agents were mostly East and the West guys got screwed over again? There is a reason as to why West and PHX does not trust the IAM, because it is an "East First" mentality. I doubt PHL or DCA was the first choice of many furloughed in LAS or the West... Maybe my Beach Bumming friend, Cream Horn, may confirm? Maybe you might confirm?

Speaking of Cream Horn, he emailed me something about how the LAS "fence" has a new hole in it for East guys to transfer into LAS even though there are HUNDREDS of furloughed agents awaiting recall because they came in as team leads with high seniority. No Team Leads were furloughed from LAS? Of course, the IAM finds nothing wrong with transferring a couple of their own Easties into a station which has hundreds of West agents awaiting recall because they were high seniority guys, which in their mind take a higher priority than just being furloughed from the station.

The game is rigged, and the IAM continues to wonder why the West does not trust any them?

Last time I checked, the company determines the staffing levels, openings and does the transfers, not the IAM, if you dislike the IAM so much, then why dont you quit? You did say fleet service is not a career.

Or go into management or become a dues objector.

Why not discuss how this new "hole" was found in the LAS fence? I am still waiting for your response from a prior post if "you" was a referring an individual or a work group. Like an artful dodger in a Clintonseque parsing of words, you will defend the IAM regardless of circumstances gliding around the inconvenient facts. Where is the auto ignore option for persons on this website?

I have no doubt that the IAM leadership and corporate are working hand and hand together. They both have complimentary objectives... keeping the East in charge and keeping a ramp moving. Screw the West agents as the sacrifice because they are to collateral damage to these objectives. Had to be a kick in the pants to the West agents who stayed in LAS for a decade of poor pay, only to be forced out by a group who had the luxury of good pay for forever and the IAM which continues to favor East... and oh, by the way, the parting "gift" like old airline food of "Chicken or Fish" became "PHL or DCA"? I hope a free in-flight vomit bag was included.
